#2 was not a part, it was a seperate definition than the other 2 parts.

You don't need all 3 parts to be present for racism to exist.

I don't know but it is a very large group with many pages of names, titles, and photos. It appears to be very ethnically and racially diverse with numerous Hispanics, Asians, African Americans and a number who are racially ambiguous and I really couldn't tell via name or photo. Just quickly scanning just under half the group, I was able to identify 11 people who were clearly African American including the Senior Production Specialist, the Director of Marketing, Research Programmer and policy analyst, Tech Services Managr, Sr Staff Associate, Internal Events Manager and others. Does that help?

you are correct and many people ASSUME what they are

or they have an illogical fear that if they dont have a woman, a minority, a Muslim, an old person and young person etc they will get sued and lose. But the reality is they are much more likely to be found doing somethign illegal if they do not practice AA/EEO and do give special treatment.

Good job and that is meant with ZERO sarcasm

no matter what a person posts it takes an amount of integrity to simply admit when a person makes a mistake or simply didnt know somethign and you just did so. No matter what it can be said you have shown integrity and i think thats more important than most things here.

Those who believe in affirmative action are absolutely racist.

Anyone who believes minorities need a quota system for equality is making the indirect statement that minorities are not as good as other people.

Believing one race is inferior to another is the root definition of racism.

True, and affirmative action was once a proper equal opportunity program. The problem is that in recent decades, affirmative action almost always means a quota system.

Here is an example if you have 1000 applicants and 100 positions.

    120 applicants are black
    40 applicants are hispanic
    20 applicants are asian
    820 applicants are white

The company is required to hire these type of employees:

    12 black people
    4 hispanic people
    2 asian people
    82 white people

It gives equal opportunity for all race groups to cry foul. It is always administered the exact same way every single time.
    Wow...

    That is a stupid method.

What if 1,000 crack heads decided to apply for the job also?

Eleven people? wow, that's a lot.
The NAACP is quite diverse too, why would anyone call them a racist organization? Being so diverse.

Re: Are Affirmative Action programs racist?[W:110]

Do they use race a selection criteria for who qualifies for those protections/benefits?
Only a fool measures equality by results and not opportunities.
