Only if you actually watch it. No, on the other had, you owe yourself an apology.

Depends on what you mean by "the world." If you mean the planet earth, then no, as far as I'm aware, the planet earth doesn't owe me anything.

But if you mean "the society of human beings in the nation in which you were born," then it seems that people generally are owed something from that world, though not exactly for nothing. There is a social contract, and that contract requires things of individuals. Society is supposed to uphold its end. The terms, unlike normal contracts, change over time. Health care, it is argued, has long been an obligation society owes to individuals, and it's well behind on paying up so far in this country.

It depends. A person has a birthright to real opportunity to participate in the economic arena. This is not incompatible with what you have said, really. I think our perception as to when a person has been adequately affiorded such opportunities is the big difference.
You can never be safe from a government that can keep you completely safe from each other and the world. You must choose.

Are you referring to disabled and unemployed people? If so, the alternative to disability payments is just murdering them so they don't become homeless and create problems. The alternative to unemployment benefits is enslaving them and making them work for the community/government or just taking them out in a field and shooting them in the back of the head. What do you want me to say? How about getting with the times. It's the 21st century not the 8th. If OTHER HUMAN BEINGS, especially COMPATRIOTS, are down-and-out then there should be a helping hand extended to them particularly when it is the ****ing government's fault for the predicament a lot of people find themselves in today. I say it's the governments fault because they should have been watching the bankers like hawks. Why? Because bankers are greedy mother****ers. A banker trying to do everything in his power to make as much money as possible is their function. The government knows this but failed God damn epically. So what way would you have it? Scrape all the victims of government incompetence and negligence off like leftovers on a plate or actually have a heart that pumps warm blood and help someone else out who is in need?

The world owes it to itself to create a better world, and its a world of individuals so yes I'd say the world owes you something.

But even less generalized society, our world, owes you a lot of things it owes you a fair representation in government, it owes you rights and protections of those rights, the entire purpose of creating a society, creating civilization, going all the way back to the first group of cavemen who got together for mutual protection was an act of creating a system governed by rules to help achieve what they thought they deserved. Can those rules be broken? Yes. Is life always fair or right? No. But it doesn't mean that its not wrong if you aren't given what you're owed, taking the view that no one deserves anything for free flies in the face of every act of civilization building since the dawn of time and certainly the beginning of this country where it was written that not only did you have natural rights, things undeniable that you were owed, but that they were in fact given by God. And you have it all simply for being born.

Ya the world owes you something, and you should hold the world to the standard to make sure all the rights, privileges, and other aspects built into our society to make living life better are given to yourself as well as your fellow human beings.

If a man is thrown in prison unfairly without cause, do we say "Well life owes you nothing, sucks to be him." No of course not, we fight against it.

Seriously sawyer if you believe that life owes you nothing than you should never complain again that anything is taken from you, life doesn't OWE you property rights, that you don't have certain freedoms you'd like, life doesn't OWE you liberty, that people you'd rather have nothing to do compel themselves into your life, life doesn't OWE you privacy. If I can force myself into your life, take from you, steal from you, kill you, then you shouldn't complain at all because you couldn't stop it and no one and nothing owed you a damn bit of effort in help to stop me or bring me to "justice." Life doesn't owe you justice.

We each owe the world to make it a better place than we found it, socially, economically and environmentally.

I don't feel I am owed those things, I fight for them every day of my life,
