Presidential libraries provide valuable learning experiences for Americas children. A friend took her 3 children to the Bush Library recently and her son had his pic made sitting at a replica of the presidents desk in the Oval Office. He still talks about that experience.

Let Soros pay for Obama's library. How much can a subscription to Golf Digest cost anyway?
Mornin SMW.....well you know. After he gets it in the state. Then they will work on renaming one of the Golf courses after him. I figure the best way to jump the play on them, is to come up with a BO and MO miniature golf course. Or BO's driving Range. Drop some plain to see sarcasm out there for his brand new in training, Hobby. That he never was into before.

Do you think they will be able to prevent the bangers from graffitting up the place?

I mean how much aggrandizing and adulation for tearing this country in two and sinking us into financial ruin does this guy need?
And actually, on second thought, screw that. You got a pension system that these scumbags have been underfunding and pilfering for decades, PUT THE MONEY THERE, if you're gonna put it somewhere, I mean they're about ready to rape thousands upon thousands of people and rob them out of what was promised them and they got the balls to wanna give a $100 mill for some asswipe who hasn't been kicked out of office for only two reasons A) He's black and 2) He was smart enough to have a bumbling halfwit as his VP.

Tricky Dickey didn't do half of what this stroke has done but you know what? He resigned in disgrace yeah, but he had the honesty and integrity for the office to do so.

"I am not a crook!" Nixon said, the same can't be said about Obama, and if he does, no one will bat a lash. Just another in a long line of lies that have been coming out of this pimp's mouth from day one.

Mornin FN.....Then it is transferred to the Fed. Where Some staff and programs are paid with funds from private donations. Some!

Sounds like a good reason to me not to have the taxpayers pay for it.

I think they should let the people vote on it here.....but then the Demos are afraid of what those real numbers look like about BO not being so popular around here. Other than with kids usually under 16. Which how would it look to have one of his homes and all around showing that more is against him even coming back here.

I would like to see how the MS media would spin their way out of that one.

    I will ask you again:

So it justifies large government expenses to build, staff and maintain these places just so a tiny minority of the people can read 'real' books instead of online books?

    Yes or no, please?

Presidential libraries are not really libraries in the classic sense of the word. They house collections of presidential memorabilia.

In Obama's case, I'm sure well see lists of people to blame for his shortcomings.

Who's Funding Bush's Library? - Money coming in during presidency raises concerns over quid pro quo
Great logic there, Skippy; we should not allow anonymous private donations to build monuments to US presidents, instead we should let supporters curry favor with the president by using tax money. Perhaps the best idea is to build these presidential monuments after the president leaves office making that, quid pro quo, point moot.

Other States are bidding for his Library.....Hawaii and New York. Wonder how New Yorkers feel about it costing them at a Minimum of a 100 mil win the bid. At least Illinois and Hawaii BO can call home. Also.....would it even be worth the 100 mil.

Should Illinois taxpayers be on the hook for $100 million to bring an Obama Presidential Library and Museum to Chicago?
Hell yeah, stupid bastards voted for him and got him to the national level. I hope they bankrupt the State of Illinois over that library.

True, Obama never did say he wasn't a crook. Of course Nixon WAS a crook, so I'm not sure I'd crow about him saying that.

A: yes, I do support building the presidential library. B: in what world does building a library cost $100 million dollars... C: Its more of a records place that holds documents than a real library.
