This man had a better death then his victim, he ambushed his victim who did nothing wrong , and shot her, then buried her alive. Sadly there is almost no way to make him experince the same exept doiung what was done to his victam. which our government will never do.

I've sometimes thought that perhaps the actual action that causes the executee's death ought to be carried out by a fellow criminal, perhaps someone who's turn is next.

I'm of the belief that as necessary as it may be, one cannot kill another human being, and not be damaged by the experience. Why not let the executioner be someone who, by his own fault and his own choice, is already damaged in such a manner, rather than someone who has not yet been so damaged? There may even be some minor “humaneness” benefit to this idea; the executioner may attempt to be as humane as he can be to his subject, in hope that his executioner will be the same toward him.

The united States military are not a free service to the states, even the state national guard are expensive (though subsidized). The cost of using our military for a firing squad might very well exceed the cost of current choices....though I admit I do not know the detailed cost analysis.
The use of military personnel for civil justice would probably also violate the Posse Comitatus act.

I'm not really sure. If general anesthesia was used, there would be any number of simple easy ways to kill a person.

There seems no reason to be "Nice" once someone is sentenced to death by our legal system, nor is retribution called for.

You have done something that society deems worthy of death...society should simply get is done as quickly and efficiently as possible.

A of people reading this thread, who die of "natural causes", will suffer much more and much longer than this man did... so my sympathy is limited.

These are people who are already paid for and most of them are sitting on bases in the U.S. doing nothing. I'm sure something could be worked out.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

I'm all in favor of that. In fact, I think that the guillotine is the best method because it doesn't cause any damage to the harvestable organs and you even get to take the eyes for corneal transplants. We might as well get something out of this worthless hunk of human trash.
