I don't recall asking for permission. I'll let you know when I put it up so you can start the 24 hour clock.

What creepy harassment. Do you often force yourself on others?

Your stuck chuck. You made a public statement on a forum. He gets to use it freely. Sorry. You should have copy righted it before printing it.

False.

The word 'nigga', used to mean 'friend' is not racist. Further, minorities cannot be racist in any socially meaningful way. As racism is a social construct, and not an individual creation, minorities thereby cannot even be racist.

.
Nonsense. Since an individual is a minority and an individual can be racist, your post makes no sense.

rac·ism [rey-siz-uhm] Show IPA

noun

1.

a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.

3.

hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.

It doesn't work that way.

Read that one again. Maybe a few times and it might sink in.

Racism is more than just noticing skin color. Racism is what Sterling is engaged in - the systematic oppression of a race.

So Sterling engaged in "a policy, system of government"??? Maybe you should actually read each definition and conclude that you are just wrong in your original stament rather than trying to back up nonsense with more nonsense.

He was taking part in a larger effort to disenfranchise blacks. A systematic attack against a race.

Let me know when you understand the whole definition of racism, and not just part of it.

What bothers me isn't his punishment per se. Not only is $2.5 million trivial to someone like that but i'm not a capitalist anyway, plus i have no sympathy for bigots. I don't know if i even believe "owners" should exist for pro teams. You have GMs, like college ADs, and that should suffice.

What bothers me is if he had made anti hispanic, muslim, gay etc comments, no punishment would have followed. We've seen that plenty recently whether from the anti hispanic arizona law or duck dynasty or anti arab/muslim comments that are too numerous to keep track.

Prejudice is wrong regardless of the target, and our society is completely hypocritical for demanding (don't forget that 4 sponsors dropped from the clippers after his remark) such punishment following anti black speech only.

I agree with all Mr. Cinder said, except Sterling losing his franchise.

Given the extreme reactions so far from sponsors and the public and even clippers players, a very costly boycott could follow if he remains owner. I could even see the players throwing games on purpose. Yes it was a private convo, but people aren't just going to forget it.

He's also 80. I'm not sure it's worth getting upset if he's no longer owner.

The funny thing is that everyone cares what blacks think, but you have a franchise with a blatant pejorative to Native Americans in the name and it's generally glazed over.

Apparently blacks have better PR people than Indians. Seems the Cherokee nation needs a Sharpton.

Don't anger Chief Bitches About Crap.

Exactly, the blatant bigotry and discrimination against other groups is mostly ignored. Look at the washington "redskins" or how it took years to ban north dakota "fighting sioux" even after the sioux tribe protested. I didn't see phil robertson fined or banned from duck dynasty after the public anti gay comments, or the arizona politicians pay the piper for "show me papers" law against hispanics. That is the lesson i take from this and why i can't take seriously or pay any attention to the PR outrage to this one anti black private comment.

The NBA can do what it chooses, but in this case they didn't. They buckled to a loudmouth minority population. They, and everyone else, needs to effectively tell them to go to hell.

Honestly i think it was more than blacks demanding a response to this. 4 sponsors dropped out right away, and it was all over the news. There are plenty of white NBA fans.

I think you know. Now, if you'll excuse me, TNT's NBA halftime show is coming on, and I have to watch someone who is 10x the racist ass that Sterling is.

Lol this makes me really curious, what kind of comments does Barkley make?

Sponsors are deathly related to PC-related black eyes. Truth be told, they'll live with continuing sponsorship. Chick-Fil-A isn't on the brink of bankruptcy.

The only reason blacks are the squeaky wheel these days is because there are more of them than other disenfranchised peoples (gays, Native Americans, etc), and they have brash, obnoxious leadership (Jackson, Sharpton, etc.). Hell, blacks haven't even been oppressed as long as Native Americans.

If the Bible had declared blacks to be an abomination, gays could close the gap...but no dice.
