Its a pretty simple question. Do you respect obama or putin more?
well, one is a neo Czar who is trying to reassemble the Soviet Union, and the other is getting sucked into a situation which is none of our business because the rest of the world expects us to get involved in every conflict and then turns around and resents us for doing it.
i guess the question is : why in the **** are we talking about respect, and why in the **** aren't we talking about our foreign policy and how to change it?
Both are ineffective leaders doing harm to their respective people's economy.
Couldn't be said any better. Why would an rational adult even want to compare the morality of our President with what Putin is doing?
Obama Derangement Syndrome runs deep.
And in doing so, shut down the Russian economy.Putin could shut off most of Europe's gas.
Ukriane and Russia have about the same percentages of neo nazis and oligarchs. Anti semitism exits in Kiev- it also exists in Kansas City. Meanwhile, a Jewish businessman is running for the Ukrainian presidency: http://www.jta.org/2014/03/25/news-...s-mogul-rabinovich-announces-presidential-bidUSA/CIA/Oligarchs/NeoNazis want to control Ukraine for why?
IIIIIIIII kinda don't think "ineffective" is the right word to describe Putin in this matter.

I"ll go for Putin as his pursuit of Russian national interests in Crimea led to the "annexation" or "restoration" (I can accept the "resoration" argument) of the region to Russian control with out serious loss of life and with out serious concequences for Russia were masterful.
Now, if only he would be content with Crimea... .
And in doing so, shut down the Russian economy.
Ukriane and Russia have about the same percentages of neo nazis and oligarchs. It is pretty ironic that the last terror attack against real and imagined Jews was not perpertrated in Kiev, but in Kansas City.
I do ... because whatever is done to Putin will have a brief minor impact and he'll end up with Crimea in the end ... as predicted here when it started.Do you feel the Russian people gain more from adding the Crimea than they will lose because Putin took that action?

Crimea will be his until he doesn't want it anymore.
But your premise is kind of flawed to begin with since I doubt Putin is thinking about how marching across Black Sea countries will benefit Natasha and little Niki.
My premise is that it is not the leaders ego, but.the overall benefit/harm done to the people that they lead, that matters.
No, I think Russia has more than either Kiev or Kansas City:So you mean that Kansas, Kiev and Russia have about the same number of neo Nazis.
Sure, Russia can sell gas to other customers by discounting it, but can they afford to discount it?I think the Russian economy can sustain without the sale of EU gas because they can discount it to China, India, Pakistan, etc.

Link?
Putin has been the leader of Russia for how many decades?
Where is the Russian economy failing? How does it compare to the US, and what TARP funding have they had to cough up under Putin's watch?
Who in "the rest of the world" expects the US to try to pry the Ukraine away from Russia in the first place?
Now that Putin has made good on HIS promise to George W. Bush to "tear her apart" should the US meddle in Kyiv, the Obama administration, in typical form, simply could not conceive that Putin would respond; they really have no idea what to do about it. So desperate are they, they are now trying to include civilians who have dealings with Russians on allied countries in their hate list in violation of international law.
As much as I find Putin a strutting Hitler-goon, he does what he says he will, knows the weakness of his opponents, and is wise of enough not to run at simple solutions in serial **** ups like Obama.
Respect Putin? If that respect is fear based, then yes. Under Obama's watch Putin has become the greatest threat to America since Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, far more and real a threat than the terrorists you've been fighting for 14 years.
It's Europe's problem, and Europe must deal with it if there's something to be done. The only thing Obama did wrong was to do anything at all. Our response to Ukraine ousting it's dictator should have been to build roads in the US and hire people to do things. This should be our response to all but the most serious crises, and if we do have to act, the rest of the world needs to pitch in equally.
We are not going to war with Putin. We need to ignore him and fix our own house, because there are some things that really need to be fixed.
I suppose if you don't see anything wrong with financing subversives in a foreign country then yeah, Obama did nothing "wrong."
But then don't get your **** in a knot when Putin does in Syria or anywhere else, OK?
And so far, it appears Putin will determine whether Russia goes to war with the US or NATO.
Lesson: If you don't want to get burned, stop playing with matches. The US and the US alone started this, wear it.
