Should Donald Sterling's (ex?)-girlfriend be free from criticism? Is she blameless in the whole Donald Sterling "Don't subject me to black people*" rant?

This thread is not about Donald Sterling. Sterling's comments/attitude are reprehensible, no argument, but there are other already-existing threads for that. This thread is about V. Stiviano, the girlfriend.

What's her motivation? Is she doing this solely out of a sense of justice? Or, is she doing this with the long-range goal of a nice payday? What about her being his girlfriend to begin with? Does this possibly suggest a deeper less noble motive? We've seen the pics of him and her. His motivation for being with her is obvious... she's hot. What's her motivation for being with him? Some will defend her with weak defenses or try to feign objectivity by saying "We don't know", but my gut tells me she was attracted to him for one reason... money. For this reason, I suspect her motives. I have nothing to go by but gut feeling, but I suspect that the only reason she ever even said hello to him in the first place was the fact that he's rich... and now she's scheming to get what she can while she can.

Note: Does this question suggest to minimize Sterling's comments and attitude? No, it does not. Attempts to portray it as such will be flat out wrong. Just delving deeper into the situation for curiosity purposes.

She broke the law. She's a skank.

Ya think she was only interested in his money?

Re: Should Donald Sterling's (ex?)-girlfriend be free from criticism?

I don't know for sure if she broke the law, but I suspect she is of low moral values and what the horse above said.

Re: Should Donald Sterling's (ex?)-girlfriend be free from criticism?

We have all kinds of gold diggers in this country, she's just one kind. She isn't the issue, his words are, apparently also the treatment of his minority tenants is, she is not. Using her as an issue is going to happen because that's the kind of stupidity we live in and anytime blame can be waylaid away from sports/politics and on to the woman, I shall be done.

California
Date: August 1, 2012
Summary of statute(s): In California, all parties to any confidential conversation must give their consent to be recorded. This applies whether the recording is done face-to-face or intercepted through some electronic communication such as a cell phone call or series of e-mail or text messages. Both civil and criminal penalties are available to victims of illegal recordings. Further, the state’s so-called “anti-paparazzi” legislation sets fines for, among other things, trespassing on private property with the intent of capturing photos. The state’s vehicle code similarly penalizes those who interfere with drivers of vehicles in pursuit of images or sound recordings

Glad to see you got a racist's back

Re: Should Donald Sterling's (ex?)-girlfriend be free from criticism?

Intelligent people see it as defense of law.

Intelligent people see it as a minor bad for her- a major bad for him. Did anyone say she shouldn't face 'justice' for taping a racist adulterer? It is a misdemeanor.

In the grand scheme of things her actions are a nit, the millionaire with a wife and girlfriend ranting about blacks seems the scuzzier party. :peace

You do realize that you can BOTH criticize her and Sterling right? It isn't a one or another. I think what she did was kinda slimy even though Donald's comments were complete racism.

Nobody is ever free from criticism.

Breaking the law is minor. Freedom of speech is major. Gotcha.

Racists don't have rights. I'm glad we have libs to remind us of this.

Racists have rights when they aren't white. The NBA gives out slaps on the wrists whenever a black player spews out anti-white racism but you have people calling for Sterling to lose his team. A bunch of ridiculous hypocrites

Can't believe that an in-thread warning is already needed. Lay off the baiting and stick to the topic folks.

She's quite obviously a gold digger, so no.

She's as low as they come. In my mind, it's one thing to betray someone who is abusive, but that doesn't appear to be the case here. I listened to the entire tape, and she baited him mercilessly until he finally said something she finally heard a payday for herself. She's a slimeball.

As for why she's with him? Why do you think? His 80-something-year-old ass is hot.

Come on, you saw the pictures of him. Tell me that hunk doesn't just excite you too a little?

Actually I think they both deserve each other. A young gold digger sleeping with a man old enough to be her grandfather who hates her race. He a bitter rich old man upset his young g/f is seen in public with blacks and the fact that his hourglass of life is dwindling down rapidly.

Match made in heaven.

So white male banksters and hedge fundsters who cheat grandma and the impoverished out of their homes, their savings, and their pensions, making billions and they are the "job creators", but a multi-racial woman who didn't cheat anyone, and whom Sterling surely knew her intentions as to the gold digger aspect (how else would just a slime ball get such a lovely and sexy lady), and took a couple million in cash and prizes from a rich, ugly ol' white man . . . and who's the slimeball?

Hats off to her, I've rarely hear untoward things about men that do questionable things to make their money. And since there's no way she could have deceived that man as to her intentions, she has done no wrong, except the misdemeanor taping.

When you go see a medical specialist do you want one fresh out of medical school or one with a wealth of experience? That's the right choice. Even though his face resembles a withered walnut you know those old hips still got the move.

He has many of the signs of excess hormones and/or low testosterone, as many do at his age, so sex might not even be an issue. If so, then the relationship is/was even more creepy, IMO.

These aren't mutually exclusive. Banksters who cheat are slimeballs, Donald Sterling is a slimeball and so is this gold digger.

I don't think it's right to set someone up like that. Maybe that's part of your moral code, but it isn't part of mine. She's a useless piece of trash. And him? He's just as bad.

Oh please, anyone trying to bash this woman instead of the real evil here doesn't have a moral code, certainly not one that has a leg to stand on. Sex isn't evil. Getting money for being arm candy isn't evil. Being a half-breed minority that gets tired of seeing and hearing him berating her peers, isn't evil.

There will be plenty of people bashing this woman. If she got tired of him "berating her peers," she could, uh, leave. A half-breed minority? And you think you're taking some moral high ground here??
