    You don't agree...fine.
Why is this? A party has a platform, which is what that party stands for. Supporting that party is no different than supporting a candidate.

I vote for the best candidate available who has a chance of winning. Mostly in recent years, I vote for the lesser of the available evils because there are no candidates running that I can actually support.

    I don't have a party.

How would you like me to answer your poll?

I voted for him too, he actually had a shot at winning, which is more than I can say for any 3rd party candidate out there today. I don't regret my vote for him either but he shot himself in the foot and wasted millions. Whether he could have made a good president or not, I don't honestly think anyone that wants the job will actually be able to do the job.

What's the difference between options 2 and 3?
If you expect people to be rational, you aren't being rational.

He has my vote as well, I have never voted repuke before. But I like rand. I had divorced the dems when i finally realized the damage that clinton's policies have done to destroy america!
I did not vote for obama either I woke up when the economy collapsed.

Individuals don't matter. Nobody rules through force of personality or belief in the Washington Machine. I'll always choose the Democrats as an organization over the Republicans as an organization.

Yes, whoever the Republican candidate is I will most likely agree with at least 75% of what he or she believes and I may only agree with about 25% of whoever the Democrat candidate is. So it makes the decision to vote Republican pretty easy for me. That and I am aware of the differences in the parties.
