"When Faith preaches Hate, Blessed are the Doubters." - Amin Maalouf
'What kind of sick and twisted toy factory is this?'
'We are all the sum of our tears. Too little and the ground is not fertile, and nothing can grow there. Too much, the best of us is washed away.'
"Better to be dead and cool, than alive and uncool."
There's only one even sem-realistic situation where I would possibly vote for Gary Johnson. That's if I can't stand the Democratic candidate and the Republican candidate is someone I feel has a solid chance to legitimately harm the country and thus I feel I can't support them, such as a Rick Santorum from last years crop. Then, and only then, would I likely vote for Gary Johnson who has no realistic shot of being anything other than a 3rd party candidate.
With the current crop of Republican candidates that have been talked about....Christie, Paul, Bush, Jindal....I'd be extremely unlikely to vote for Gary Johnson at this point in time.
"I am appalled that somebody who is the nominee...would take that kind of position"
"A court took away a presidency"
"...the brother of a man running for president was the governor of the state..."
It's horrifying because Trump is blunt instead of making overt implications.
Yeah, not that it would do any good.
I'm more interested in supporting a splinter Democrat group that would allow a plurality vote. Not greens either - they're morons.
Gary Johnson on the Issues
So crashing the economy is better? No bank bailout; no farm subsidies; no stimulus.
Which would drive us right back into recession.Cut federal budget by 43% to bring it into balance.
Vouchers take money from public schools and give to private. When those are church schools, that is particularly bad.Vouchers OK for church childcare & church schools.
Populist nonsense,We can no longer afford to shell out billions in foreign aid.
I can support some cuts to the military, but that is way too much.43% reduction in military spending; cut foreign aid too.
I support immigration, but this is too much.Open the border; flood of Mexicans would become taxpayers.
Pure populism. Government employs millions directly.Governments don't create jobs--businesses do.
He is a nutcase.I view government in the same way as philosopher Ayn Rand.
Gave fiancee "Atlas Shrugged" to explain his politics.
Bat**** insane.23% national sales tax while eliminating the IRS.
I am not a fan of Israel, but losing any sort of influence on them is a bad plan.Cut all support and aid to Israel.
While he has a few things I can get on board with, far too much is like the stuff above, stuff I would never be able to support. There is a reason Libertarians do poorly in national elections. They simply do not represent many people on the issues.
Beginning several elections ago I began voting for whom I feel is the best candidate, regardless of party and regardless of chances of winning. So, would I vote for Gary Johnson? Maybe. Depends.
If, when defending your support for Donald Trump, and your response is,
"But but but... HILLARY!!!", then you lost the argument before you even began.
Semper Fidelis, Semper Liber.
Stolen fair and square from the Capt. Courtesey himself.I spit at lots of people through my computer screen. Not only does it "teach them a lesson" but it keeps the screen clean and shiny.
