Um...what? Where did you get that figure from?

And if you use the words "capital gains", I'll punch you in the throat.

Does a pretty woman owe men a lot more sex than average women because the pretty woman benefits more from men doing her bidding than what average women receive?

Does a talented musician owe the public free concerts compared to a mediocre musician?

Does a talent car mechanic have to give away his service one day a week compared to the mechanic who is just mediocre?

Or to take the argument directly to your territory, if the higher income earner owes more to the state because the state is responsible for his success then isn't his good judgment also needed in terms of voting - shouldn't he be granted more votes than the low income earner because he's clearly shown that his judgment is better because he was able to use those societal resources more efficiently than the low income earner who had EXACTLY the same chance to use those societal resources.

It's a cute little slippery slope. Maybe the state just decides that you don't need money. It'll take everything you have and determine, on its own, what you need and what you don't.

    Just do as you're told.

If you want to get up and move, go ahead. With basically the whole industrialized world practicing socialism, I'm just curious, what country do you think you'll go to?

This is a crock of **** distraction tactic that you're using. Most of the taxes that we pay are used for INCOME REDISTRIBUTION and not for providing PUBLIC goods, like roads, schools, border control, national defense, policing, courts, etc.

Progressive taxation is discriminatory and we all know that when we advocate discrimination then we advocate evil. Or something. The government should treat every citizen equally. Progressive taxation doesn't treat every citizen equally.

And by the way, the poor don't usually have the same societal resources as the wealthy. Where you live makes a big difference. Don't believe me, go into a region with housing projects and tell me they have equal societal resources as someone from Malibu

There are still some nations that aren't big on organized theft.
