Most of my employees are support employees. I'm the primary consultant and I have one part time guy that's retired and comes out in the field with me from time to time, but isn't a full time employee.
I could get by without my employees during slow times, just fine. What I can't do is sleep at night or live with myself if I did that, because I know the wives, husbands and kids of my employees, and I have made a commitment to them as well. Is it financially hard on me at times? Yes. Does my wife like it all the time? No, but she understands because she feels the same way I do about my employees and their families.
If you would prefer to feel that I'm full of BS, then fine. I couldn't care less about what you think about me personally, because you don't know me personally and you making such assumptions tells me more about you, than anything you may think you know about me.
Everything in your life is a reflection of a choice you have made. If you want a different result, don't blame someone else, or expect others to make a change, you should stop complaining and make a different choice. Remember, the circumstances of your birth don't determine the outcome of your life.
Do I have to answer the question in order to say that you have a good point with that one?Originally Posted by TurtleDude
Life is really good in the United States. Why do you think it is so bad? I don't think you should feel that way. We live in a good country that functions. It would be more obvious if we had a dysfunctional government. Don't be so negative. Please! It will make you miserable. If things are bad, that's fine. Go ahead and say they are bad. If things are good, there is no excuse for saying they are bad.
