I only heard about this case because my husband was on business in Indy on the 3rd, which was 2 days after Nathan was shot. He saw it on the local news in his hotel room.

I also didn't hear about the Martin case until Eric Holder got involved.

What I think some people don't remember is that Martin was shot at the end of February and by the 3rd week in March, it was announced that a grand jury was going to be convened to investigate the shooting. I think everyone wanted Zimmerman tried & hung within 2 days of the situation. For the national media and the race baiters to make it front page news was a little much. It isn't like it was a cold case unsolved and uninvestigated for 22 years.

Well that's just great. 'Tres borrachos' has identified a major distortion in the media and knows the cause... ignorance. Like the media and all of us who do not see this massive media distortion, I am ignorant (of what, I'd like to know). I'm part of the problem! So, does Tres tell me (us, we are many), what ignorance blinds us to this media distortion and thus (somehow) causes it? No.

That doesn't seem fair.
 
It is definitely a reflection of a problem in our society when some psychonut killing some unarmed innocent is too common to be national news, but it is. Thankfully someone killing an unarmed minor, and going home is. There is no similarity between this case and Zimmerman. More RW race baiting and trying to say everyone else is racist, the RWers aren't. At some point the "lady doth protest too much, methinks."

What are your thoughts about people saying only whites can be racists, and blacks can't?

Actually, I think people killing people in self defense and walking home isn't all that uncommon. You do know that's why the poice didn't originally charge Zimmerman, yes? He had blood all over his head.

Not arresting someone who is a suspect or a person of interest on the spot happens all the time. The police don't make an arrest until they believe they actually have a case, and self defense is used a lot.
 
What is the point? I do not believe the case in Indianapolis has any sort of connection in any way with the Z case. This connection was made up by a right winger to try to pretend there was some sort of, hell I don't even know what, just some stupid reverse racism claim. The case in Indy involved a psycho nut killing someone. It is sad watching you guys trying to pretend who the racist is. But carry on.

No, that's a different case. This was a guy out for a walk early and killed, presumably during a robbery.
