Which has what to do with what?

This idea that "nobody cares if it's a white person who dies" is ludicrous.

The reason this isn't a story is because it's a run-of-the-mill robbery/homicide. This kind of thing happens, quite literally, every day.

That you implying that the "effort" put into it has some impact...doesn't.

and yet the self defense case was sensationalized. Why?

Because it's pretty difficult to make a plausible self-defense argument when the person you blow away is unarmed, and you were following said person?

It was "sensationalized" because the facts of the case were much more unique and rare than the facts of this case. I do not understand why it's so difficult for you to comprehend that.

The cops judged that on scene and found self defense credible, so did the jury later, despite the then national attention.

I see, it was sensationalized for every reason other than the race of those involved.

No, it's a critique on the national media, and the race hustlers...and the lemmings that eat it up.

The jury said otherwise. It sounds like you have a problem with the jurors.

Re: Have you heard of Nathan Trapuzzano?

Yes, the circumstances here were very different. The guy who shot Trapuzzano was caught on camera laughing. He's been in trouble with the law since he was 9 years old. He has an extensive rap sheet. He's been in the juvenile justice system for 7 years. He's 16 years old. His victim was a devout Catholic, hardworking man with a wife and a baby on the way.

A black teenage thug shot a good decent deeply religious man. That kind of story isn't interesting to the media.

Zimmerman was a Hispanic guy that the media was detemined to paint as a white man. Trayvon Martin was a teenage punk. Neither one of them was worthy of the national recognition their story got.

And so far, Obama hasn't claimed any resemblance to the man who lost his life that morning.

Oh for crying out loud. You think THAT'S why the story isn't getting much national traction?

A scumbag committed a cowardly act and was quickly apprehended. Just like happens routinely in this country. There's nothing to sensationalize.

And AGAIN, the reason Zimmerman/Martin blew up was because it appeared Zimmerman was going to get off scot-free.

The outrage here is simply because the victim in this case was white, and there's a cottage industry here that produces little more than faux outrage over perceived slighting of the white man, while simultaneously and without irony accusing those who don't share the same outrage over the lack of national media attention of "race hustling."

What happened to Trapuzzano was terrible, and the person who did it is human garbage. That said, it's not a national story. Zimmerman-Martin shouldn't have been either.
