It is terribly interesting to see the people complaining about Obama's lack of experience....getting behind an optometrist who has been in politics for a couple years and likely knows nothing whatsoever about foreign policy.

There is no possible way I would accept this guy as qualified.

More amazingly, he feels much as his father that America should become more isolationist.

I would consider casting my first Republican vote on Rand Paul. All the fearmongering over the idea that he would take away food stamps is silly.

He would help move the country in a more socially liberal direction. On the economy, though, I am less confident in him.

    I would say "no."
His vulgar libertarian rhetoric can sometimes be cringe-worthy. I just think little-to-none of it would have any major impact in actual policy.

Interesting you post a pic of a xenophobe when, in reality, Rand is pretty moderate compared to most Repubs on immigration.
    Rand Paul: GOP needs to
Rand Paul: Jeb Bush could have been ‘more artful’ with immigration comment

That's not true. Not all the crazies like him, because leftwingers don't.

    Really?

He's more to the right than the Republican base on gay marriage?
He's more to the right than the Republican base on immigration?
He's more to the right on drug laws?
He's more to the right on our military spending?

Sure he is... find what he said about the civil rights act, he's a jewel when comes to those.
