Curious that many of you have stated you don't agree with many of Jeb Bush's polcies and you don't like him as a candidate yet you wouldn't hesitate to vote for him if he ran against Clinton. I wonder what that say's about US politics?

What part confuses you if he is the only viable option to run against the Democratic Party? Clinton's policies would be worse. So would you have none vote and allow Clinton to walk into the spot without any opposition, and just accept the worst to come?

Well for me as an outsider it would seem better for the US public if they had more than two options during a presidential election. Seem's a shame that you are almost forced to vote for someone you don't like based purley on the fact you hate them less than the other candidate.

So when some change the thread to ODS posts, how many millions voted to reelect the disaster in the do-nothing House right now?
Three terms of promising nothing--but breaking the promise by going backwards, worse than nothing.

The Bush organization has begun pushing Jeb Bush for president very hard now - and have the money to do it.
Would you vote for Jeb Bush?

Rand Paul represents the Amash coalition going after the Speaker's job,
the despicable Cheeney legacy and other splinter groups sick of both parties, like the young.

Paul or Bush ?

I've been predicting Jeb Bush will be the next President of the United States for several years now. Had he run in 2012, he would have slaughtered Obama.

From many of the comments posted, the low information voter is alive and doing just fine here at DP. Jeb Bush is easily the most qualified of any named candidate in either party and he has the added bonus of being an intelligent, confident, well spoken, respectful man without an ounce of overblown ego. Denying your country the obvious talents he would bring to the office simply because of his last name is just asinine.

Once he gets reintroduced to the American public and people see him speak, watch him in the debates, listen to the reasoned approach he has to many of the troubling issues your country faces, his favourable opinion with that public can't help but grow. And when/if he matches up in the Presidential race against Hillary Clinton it will be no contest - the man is miles ahead of her.

Doubtful.

Also "low information voter" is fast becoming the No. 1 personal attack for conservatives to sneak past the mods when it comes to describing people they disagree with. It's getting old.

Sorry, didn't realize it was my responsibility to entertain you or any other member - and since I didn't see a single post of yours on this thread until the above comment, I couldn't be referring to you, could I?

I don't know if I would or wouldn't vote for Jeb Bush. I think I would take him over Rand Paul, but then it all depends whom the Democrats, Libertarians and Constitutional Parties have running.

But you might enjoy some stuff Rasmussen polled:

59% of GOP Voters Say Republicans in Congress Out of Touch with Party’s Base

59% of GOP Voters Say Republicans in Congress Out of Touch with Party

Now I am not sure what's this means. Rasmussen never goes into details. It might mean the GOP base is tired of the tea party types or it might mean they wish more of their members of congress were like the tea party. Who knows. But I thought this might interest you.

Nope. That doesn't mean it's not noticed.

On topic, I would not vote for Jeb Bush.

Well they have other parties.....they never make the grade. But that's exactly what it is.....or they do like they did when Romney ran, and don't show up to the Polls. Which just allowed a mistake for History take place. The Republicans only have themselves to blame for Obama's 2nd term. If all would have supported Romney from the Right. Then all the bitching about Team O and the Democrats wouldn't even be taking place.

Although.....what good comes from a Party that has to divide up the country. Knowing it is the ONLY way they can win? This has been what the Democratic Party has been about from their beginnings.

There was a time I was definitely convinced that Jeb was the pick of the litter so to speak, and I still have little quarrel with him personally. But do I want him to be the GOP nominee? I honestly don't know CJ, but my gut tells me it would not be a good idea in the current political climate. He would be dragging the legacy of two failed (by majority perception) Bush presidencies, and I just don't see how that wouldn't be a problem for him. Emotionally, would I feel secure and confident if he were president over some of the lesser knowns who could be the candidate? Absolutely.

And can I think of a single Democrat that the Democrats could put up that I would favor over Jeb? Nope.

So I definitely have mixed emotions on this one. I would have bet a good steak dinner--wait, I DID bet a good steak dinner--that any Republican could beat Obama in the crappy 2012 economy. I was wrong. Anybody with a brain who is capable of critical thinking knows we would all be better off now had Romney won, but I don't have any confidence that the American public won't be just as dumbed down in 2016. And I don't know that Jeb has the charisma to overcome that.

You'll have to choose one of the GOP Presidentials before the general.

As for the GOP House, they are once again plotting to overthrow Boehner.
These are the ones out of touch, like "Amash/TEAs" .

Excellent post.

I would say, as it relates to baggage, that Hillary Clinton will absolutely be the Democrat nominee and she has more baggage than Samsonite. No other Democrat would have a chance of winning the Presidency. I can't wait to see the Presidential debates between Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton.

BTW, your governor might make for an excellent running mate for Bush.

Good evening NIMBY.

Never ceases to amaze me, the almost obsessive desire of liberals to fantasize the demise of Boehner. Tells me he's doing a pretty good job and you're fearful he'll continue.

Since I disagree with you, I don't have a brain and am not capable of critical thinking, by your indirect personal insult,
but I don't have any confidence that the American public won't be just as dumbed down in 2016.
This is the kind of crap Kobie was telling canadajohn about, him using "low info voter".
I would call LIV those with TEA bags hanging from their hats buying what Glen Beck is selling .
And I don't know that Jeb has the charisma to overcome that.
So Jeb would have to overcome dumbed down America, but no talk of how Latinos would changes their votes for him .

I have been know to vote in the Democratic Primary. I voted for Tsongas in the democratic primary in 1992, Perot in the general. in 1996 I voted for Alexander in the Republican Primary and Perot in the general. In 2004 I voted for Edwards in the democratic primary and for Browne in the general and so it goes. You know of my Johnson support in 2012

I dismissed the comment from Kobie but since you bring it up again I'll simply point out that I referred to the comments previously posted on this thread and there was precious little information provided by anyone who spoke against a Jeb Bush Presidential run. The comments were virtually all related to his relatives and his last name. I call that low information voting, making decisions based on unfounded bias.

Sorry you were offended. I called it as I see it and if the shoe doesn't fit you, then well, it doesn't fit. And if it does, oh well. I don't give a lot of credit to anybody who thinks Obama has done a good job and has been a better choice than Romney would have been. Or just about anybody running against Obama would have been. That's how I see it and what is rational to me. And what does Glenn Beck have to do with any of this? Or Latinos for that matter? Are you calling Latinos dumb? Shame on you.

Would you vote for Jeb Bush?

I think we need an amendment to ban family dynasties.

And what does Glenn Beck have to do with any of this?
Glen Beck is the leader of the dumbed down crowd that you accuse DEMs of being a part nof.
Or Latinos for that matter? Are you calling Latinos dumb? Shame on you.
Have you been listening to what a difference there would be with the Latino vote if Jeb and his Mexican wife ran?
Anyone with a brain capable of critical thinking would see this.

And to claim that calls Latinos dumb is a LIE.
Shame on you.
GOPees are desperate these days aren't they ?

It is the TEA party that is trying to get rid of Boehner.
they're pissed at Cantor for the "voice" last week on the "temporary doc fix" and gave him his last warning.
You really need to catch up .
