You said it brother. Dittos.:agree

Interestingly enough I had a conversation last week with a VERY liberal client who also agreed that the federal government was too big. He's an academic and is considering leaving his cushy university job because the standards have been horribly decreased for the purpose of pumping more bodies through a class. His take on it is that there is so much government money out there that the universities are pumping class sizes to utterly ridiculous levels just to maximize their take and it's killing the education staff while leaving the kids adrift. His take is that the kids no longer learn the course material. All they do is learn how to pass multiple choice tests.

I suggested that education (as well as a number of other things) could be better handled at the local level and without government interference and he totally agreed. That was kind of shocking to me since he is DEFINITELY not on my side of many issues.

George Bush's other kid versus Bill Clinton's wife would really be sickening and would make a strong case against democracy. THOSE TWO are the brightest and best the United States has?! 330,000,000 and those two are they very best among us?!!!

the vampires in the press are the reasons why the best and the brightest don't run or win

The guy that should have beat Obama for the senate seat in Illinois was going to win until some corrupt Dem Judge allowed pro obama operatives in the press access to sealed divorce records where there was an unproven claim that the candidate had visited a strip club

It just takes too money to win these days! The person who might make a great leader is probably out there somewhere, but just can't compete. Add to that all the corruption and dirty dealing going on all over the place, and who would even be interested? Sad...

Greetings, Joko104. :2wave:

The Bush organization has begun pushing Jeb Bush for president very hard now - and have the money to do it.
Would you vote for Jeb Bush?

I do not vote for libs, especially pro-illegal pieces of ****.

I couldn't agree more, and my husband and I were saying the exact same thing a couple of weeks ago. There are probably millions of people who would do a better job than what we have, what we have had and what we are looking at in the future. Problem is that the common, average, every-day Joe can't compete. Romney spent $998 million on his campaign, Obama spent $985 million. Who could compete with that?

That's for certain. 55 million people did re-elect 43.

the real stupidity was how many voted for the pompous poodle Kerry

No political dynasties. No more Bushes, Clintons, Kennedys, Pauls - no more.

Umm -- OK.

its fun watching how many liberals who whine about the rich and claimed Bush was stupid ended up slurping Kerry-a guy who got rich by marrying two rich heiresses and who had lower grades at Yale than did Bush despite Kerry being a mercenary resume padder whose arrogance was so bad other students hummed "Hail to the chief" when he appeared.

Bush also scored higher on the military IQ/aptitude test than Mr. THeresa Heinz and had something Kerry's never had-executive experience (neither has the hildabeast either)

Save your platitudes. They were both idiots, but Kerry was the far lesser of the two evils.

sure
from my meager knowledge, jeb is brighter than his brother and father
jeb was the bush being groomed for the presidency ... at least until dubya screwed that up for him

based on what i know now, if the choice is one between hillary and jeb, then jeb gets my vote

would rather vote for condi rice

and would much prefer to vote for Elizabeth Warren

but given the limited choice of jeb or hillary, no question jeb would make a better prez

now that would be a tough choice

Hildabeast or Lieyawatha!

To paraphrase Mick Jagger (salt of the earth)

a choice of cancer or polio!

So then you are saying you like a well groomed Bush?

If there had been a "Yes -- out of spite, to help reveal that modern "democracy" is no better than monarchy for all practical purposes" option, I'd have selected that.

Seriously, if we end up with a choice between a 2nd Clinton and a 3rd Bush, our vote will be about as meaningful as the Iraqi "voters" during the Hussein regime.

The atmosphere of the nation doesn't look good for liberals, period.

The jury is still out, especially on the ACA. I'm not a fan of either side but somebodies got to get the vote moving soon.

Oh hell no...

He will win. It's inevitable. Don't try to resist, it'll only hurt more.
