If you'd bother to read that article, you'd realize that represents less than .01% of allocated money and is, actually, a pretty expected loss in logistics and accounting. We are talking about the government.

Take everything that's wrong with Obamacare and hide the exhorbitant costs in the tax code. Sounds great!

What article are you talking about? There was no article associated with my post, it was a straight video. The point being, and remains, if you want to discuss government waste and defalcation, the Pentagon is where you start as more money has been wasted and defrauded there than in the medicare system....

The video was based on an article. And the article is being misused, by morons, to claim massive fraud in the Pentagon. Anyone who reads the article can see the errors (of such a tiny percentage) are expected in such a large (government) organization. The missing funds are .001% of allocated funds (over a LONG time period) and represent simple logistic and accounting errors.

    You're pushing BS.

All the people that say yes need to remember to keep me out of their stupidity. Thank you.

Why people think the country needs more welfare is beyond me.

Same here. The country needs to do away with welfare, not have even more welfare nonsense.

In my view, it would be suicidal for the American economy, particularly as it stands now, to add a massive new payroll tax burden on both employers and employees. Even when your country recently had the payroll tax "holiday" for a couple of years, your economy remained sluggish. Adding a massive new tax on employment will drive up unemployment as businesses shed all but the most important of staff and it will drive down consumption by making American goods more expensive with fewer workers being able to afford them.

If people were willing to restructure the entire tax code/system in the US you might find a way to make this work, but I see little appetite for change that will inevitably have to have more people paying income tax and at higher rates with less in the way of deductions/loopholes.

God, you know what I want? Higher taxes to support other people with. I mean really, if I could just have more of my property stolen by the government to support other people I would never ask for anything else, except maybe more of income taken for other people later on. You know, when I feel like I deserve even less of the fruits of my labor and for some reason other people that did nothing to earn my salary deserve more.

I see that I have been misunderstood here, I am not talking about raising the payroll tax to pay for the system. I am saying that the people would buy their health insurance from the government rather than a private blood sucking insurance company. I want to put those cock suckers out of business, they add NOTHING to the quality of healthcare but cost.

Yeah, I already know you want the government to take over healthcare. Who do think pays for Medicare? How does it get paid for? What would be required if you expanded the program to everyone in the country? Hmmm...maybe higher taxes?
