You start wherever you can, which isn't always where you want. Too often holding out for absolute idealism only prolongs the overall process.
If you claim sexual harassment to be wrong, yet you defend anyone on your side for any reason,
then you are a hypocrite and everything you say on the matter is just babble.

Hell, I am NOT sure about anything......
Ideally, there should be no prisoners...
Instead of avenging/revenging "justice", we should be preventing....ideally....we may not have the people for this....

We are inching our way to "Soylent Green", are we not ?
Not necessarily a bad nor a good thing...

I'd agree with allowing voluntary euthanasia for the population in general.

I'd still rather start somewhere else. There are honest citizens who have been going to court and fighting for euthanasia to be made into law, so I think those people should be able to do it instead.

In a perfect world where people rationally think things through, sure. In reality there would be too much opposition because "honest citizens" should be protected and helped, life has value, yada yada yada, whereas "scum" like prisoners can more easily be written off. If you start with less sympathetic examples, you can then point to them and say, "See? We already do it for prisoners. Why not everybody?"

The purpose of the original question, though, wasn't really about using a slippery-slope method to gain euthanasia for everybody. It was more along the lines of LWOP prisoners not being of any purpose or use to society, and it costs money to incarcerate them, so if they choose to end it early, what's the big deal?

To me, I just don't see the point of getting hung up on who might be more deserving. The two aspects are separate and distinct and can stand or not on their own.

I guess you have a point, but if I or if my loved one was dying of a terminal illness, then I might be kind of PO'ed about that.
