Which Presidential primary race do you think will be the most interesting in 2016?

    Dems or Reps?

They both have the potential to be wide-open, with no incumbents.

I'm thinking Republican. The Dems will be actively disassociating themselves from Obama, but as far as interest... read: "entertainment value"... I don't think the Reps have gotten past their Tea Party/Clown Circus yet.

Both of them are likely to be quite entertaining. First, there's the Democrats and their courtship of Hillary, who may or may not run, but is likely to get the nomination if she does. It will be quite interesting to see what sorts of garbage the opposition will dredge up on her. Then, there are the Republicans. Surely, we'll see another pantheon of nutters and extremists playing to the party "loyalists", just as we had last time. Perhaps, just maybe, there'll be another sane and viable candidate, another Romney, and we'll all wait and see whether the party nutt... I mean loyalists will choose him or go for another Cain, another Bachmann, another Perry.

This primary is going to be more entertaining than the Amazing Race.

There may be a possible 3 candidates on the Dem side (Hillary included), I see the possibility of ten on the Republican side.

The Dems will not try to destroy Hilary (giving ammunition)....the Republicans will....seems somewhat obvious to me.

To be honest, both should be interesting, but I think the Republican Party trying to find its post-Bush voice will be more significant.

The Obama brand hasn't been (thus far) too detrimental for the Party's innards, so whether or not the Democratic Party will continue down the direction of liberal (Obama represented a transformative candidate with naive presumptions that he would be a transformative form of a liberal), but not very liberal voice will be interesting to see. That being said, there's little utter dissatisfaction within the Democratic Party thus far.

I think the Democratic one will be more interesting, but the Republican will be more entertaining. The Democrats will likely have only a few candidates and mainly argue about the issues, while the Republicans will have a dozen and continue to play their "no true Scotsman" game of who is the REAL conservative and try to out-do each other for right wing cred.

That is a tough call since both will be running candidates saying that they are not like Obama. It will be amusing to see Hillary running against the Obama foreign policy that she represented just as it was to Romney running against gov't mandated medical care insurance that he signed into law as govenor. The field seems to be more wide open and diverse on the republicant side and they can make much more convincing arguments about not being like Obama. The 2016 race may seem a bit like the 2008 race when both sides ran on being not like Bush but the opposing party gets the edge in that kind of race.
