None of these poll options fit my position on the matter.

I'd say they should give hourly updates that mention new developments, but that's about it.

Of course if it's TV news channels that isn't going to happen, since they need to fill up the rest of the hour.

I sweat bullets about it day and night. I can't eat, I can't sleep, I can't go to work until that damn airplane is found!

I've even tried dowsing for it on a regional map, but the only thing I've found so far is an old soda bottle cap...

If they don't find this plane soon, I'm going to lose my mind. It's all I can think about.

Part of what's irritated me with the media coverage is that it's not even dynamic: They've only discussed 'theories' with pilots and other such people. They haven't really spoken with family, etc.

240+ people and not one has any family in the US and other countries?

    I'm puzzled as to why.

I heard Andrea Tantaros from a show on FOX News, called "The Five", give a reasonable explanation for the fascination with this subject. It's a mystery, which in today's world of instant information and knowing everything is a rarity and therefore interesting. We have this intense desire to want to know about something as bizarre, as a large airliner, that suddenly disappears without a trace.

But I think, they don't know when to stop milking something for ratings because of poor judgement from clouded emotions (greed).

Good point. It's not really about the people to them, is it? Just about the airplane.

Agree with the first part, but not the second.

I find it fascinating and I am not surprised at all about the coverage it is getting.

But it does not affect my life except in the slightest degree...I just spend a minute or two reading about it each day (at most) and then move on (though, when it first went missing, I spend more 'energy' on it).

Now, if they ever find it...then I will spend more time reading about it.

We go now to a pilot for his opinion on the events...

Sir, what do you think happened?
    The aliens got it!
    You're a pilot, right?
Damn skippy! I been flyin' crop dusters since the po-lice done took my driver's license away. I'll spray anything ya got!
    Good enough, go on...

Everyone loves a good mystery, and this one is a doozy.
Amelia's missing plane still gets attention 77 years after the fact, and that was only two people.
If you have ever flown anywhere... deep down you kinda wanna know.

There is, however, a line between "want to know" and "tell me constantly everything about this event that you can possibly scrape together, including stuff you don't know and the theories of random passersby"
