Oh yes, radio, because we all know the radio has MUCH higher journalistic standards!

So since most radio stations use the major networks' news services for their news updates through out the day, just who do you listen to during drive time?
It varies.
Sometimes it's the local talk radio station, which uses Fox News Radio (or whatever it's named).
Sometimes it's the local public radio station, which uses the BBC, I think.

I prefer radio because the news announcements are fairly brief, and I think this requires more concise reporting without much commentary.

no i do not, even though having emperor palpatine as a avatar does raise some eye brows
He wasn't emperor when that picture was taken.

I was thinking, it could even be the work of aliens.

Yeah, but they're hot aliens.

That's not funny. A perfectly fine aircraft just came up missing and there were souls on-board who could have been some of your family members - or you, for that matter. Suppose your own wife was on-board, or your husband. Or, how about your own son or daughter. Grandmother or grandfather. Best friend or a really well known co-worker.

This is not the time for jokes. Both the aircraft and most importantly the People, are unaccounted for and that speaks volumes about how seriously everybody should take the matter. Equally as important, the Causation for the problems with Flight 370 need to be known by the OEMs and the Airlines, so that if the Causation was mechanical and not human factors related, an AWB or SAWB can be publish that solves the problem so that when you, or someone you know boards another Boeing 777, that same thing does not happen again.

All jokes aside, we need the coverage and we need to know what happened for the good of all.

Look Mr Conspiracy Forum, don't lecture us on being serious.

Some random person called into a local talk show while I was driving to work, claimed he basically had the jet it in his backyard and was feeding the passengers pizza.

Hmmm both major news networks so how are they more accurate???

Odd I always considered talk radio 90% commentary with a smattering of news reports.

It is mostly commentary.

The news reports, at least on my local station, are brief, lasting about about 5 mins, with reports every half hour and national news (from the aforementioned Fox) on the hour.

The rest is various talk shows.

The BBC has a longer "news hour", or something like that, which I encounter while driving home just after midnight eastern time. Sometimes interesting bits on there, and they have a different perspective, reporting more on events outside US.

Thing is, I don't trust any news source fully, so different perspectives are necessary.
