I guess, by this argument, women should be banned from the boardroom.

That was not a question. That was a blatant attempt to render a backhanded slap in the face to Gipper, IMO

Maybe, but I am curious as to where this absolute blatant display of hatred of women comes from?

Currently he can't go into the delivery room without the woman's consent. Even without the courts, the hospital would not allow it. Maybe some day he will have the privilege to watch the birth of his child via a closed circuit TV. What I am arguing is how jilted the laws are against fathers and need to change. And slowly but surely fathers are gaining their overdue rights. But it is far from being fair. There's legislation coming forth in different states that would force the mother to notify the father in advance of an abortion. The man can't stop it but can then legally sue her for damages. There's been an increase in paternal grandparents being awarded custody of their grandchildren. There is other legislation that has been proposed, I believe in Utah and Michigan where a woman can not give up a child for adoption unless she has the consent of the father allowing him/his parents custody of the child. The whole "my body my choice" as a right is not constitutional when it denies paternal rights to fathers.

I would have to dig into Gipper's post history and dig out these posts of woman hatred in order to answer that question. I'd rather have a root canal.

Perhaps, me being a male, I have not been as sensitive to them as you might have been and they went over my head.

I think the ol' Gipper might be a product of a different place in time. I think he hate's equally. But you could be right. I dunno.

Ummm, he called this particular woman in the OP a "cum dumpster" and has made several other derogatory comments about "women" in general.

Oh, my mistake, it was in the other thread, which is basically a spin off from this one.

I don't hate women. I hate women who act like that. A woman who would rob a father of an experience like that, one he's trying desperately to be a part of, is an awful person.

You don't know anything about it. He could be abusive and trying to control her and the situation. That happens too, you know. It is obvious to me that if he actually cared about the health and well-being of the baby, he would NOT push this issue. She is NOT stopping him from making contact with the child after it's born. He is trying to force his presence onto HER. The baby doesn't know what the hell is going on.

Your DESIRE to watch your child be born does NOT trump her right to medical privacy. That baby is a part of HER body until the umbilical cord is cut. The woman specifically put HIS name on the approved visitor list so that HE can have the opportunity to bond with his child. I do NOT see any venom on HER part here. She simply does not want him there while she is in that condition. Maybe she just doesn't LIKE him.
