    Yea that's signifigant.

And now we know the limitations of Chinese satellite's.

They need a US sattelite to lock on it so we can get a better look at it

A 777 hitting the water at 500 plus knots would leave a huge debris field, not too mention plenty of floating debris.

I doubr it went into the drink.
It could have impacted land, but we would have sat pictures of fire, etc. It depends how it impacts, there have been a few crashes that went straight in (Air Tran DC9, PSA BA146, United 737 in COS) All three of those impacted in populated areas, but had small debris fields. With the ocean, and currents, and not searching the right spot, it is plausable it impacted in a small space, though if it were coming straight down, it would go past mach 1 and the wings would most likely shear off. 777 has a lot of composites though, so I'm not sure how that would fare in an impact. I just think there were some inherent flaws in that plane, and it just reached the breaking point. We had a few ancient 747's that were pretty bad, they even had nicknames, "Ashes" because it was the plane that lost 3 engines over the Redoubt volcano in Alaska, "Patches" because the thing had so many rivets and patches in it, and my favorite "Christine, the hangar queen", because it was always on MX, and usually mysteriously... They all had 17,000 plus cycles on them when we got them, and they are long since turned into beer cans....

Oh I know. Any substantial information at this point is helpful.

Its a mystery but that is a big chunk of debris. Its hard to judge the scale though.
I cant think of what else it could be.

Ive seen pics of whale carcasses that float to the surface, but their usually eaten by sharks

You ever hear about Eastern Airlines Flight 401 that crashed in the Everglades in the 70s ?

They reused the the Galley Ovens out of it on new L1011's .

From there came one of the most substantiated ghost stories reported in History.

Yeah, but most of that was baloney, including the person that said the pilot ghost claimed there would never be another L1011 crash, tell that to the Saudia crew, or the DL crew that crashed at DFW from wind shear. (or, the Oceanic L1011 from "Lost", which was a scrapped DL 1011.. )

The only reason why it had any credibillity is the fact that crew members reported it including flight crew and the Airline VP.

Pilots aren't ones to make up stories about ghost Captians but at least two, on two seperate aircraft that had components used from that L1011 did report seeing those pilots.

Eastern twound up removing the components that were salvaged and refused to address the issue after that.
