I mentioned this in another thread, but I think it was hijacked and stolen. Easy to do if you know what you are doing.

I also think the passengers are probably all dead.

If it were hijacked, I don't think the passengers are necessarily all dead yet. If they just wanted to blow it up in the sky, that would've been easier and more of a statement.

I think you are right, but I'm not sure they would have killed the passengers. They may need them as hostages at some point or for some purpose. Which could be why they took the plane.

    I'll supply a few....but please add.

This is not a theory, it's a fact: The plane is where it is.

Disagree. I would think, out of over 200 passengers, somebody would have somehow gotten a call out. And where are the cell phones? Over 200 people and no one got a call out? Nah, I think it's possible the cabin pressure was dropped and everyone fell asleep, and then they were killed. Easier to kill an airplane full of people if they are already asleep.

If it were a terrorist takeover, they have scramblers that will block all cell signals.

Why go thru all the effort of hijacking a plane full of people, then kill them, when you could easily plant a bomb and blow it by remote control?

Though you could be right, because you'd think there would be demands by now.

That's a good point...about the passengers phoning out if they were hijacked. Plus, my understanding is Malaysia is not the smoothest, most uncluttered country in the world (unlike say, Nebraska). I doubt a plane as big as a 777 could safely just land on a Malaysian field. And what is the point in hijacking the plane if you are just going to crash land it and risk wrecking the plane/killing everyone on board? It would probably have to land on a runway of some sort. And surely the authorities have checked every possible runway that could remotely handle a plane of this size.
It's an interesting premise - and still possible - but I think the plane has crashed and all on board are dead. Either something catastrophic happened or one of the pilots committed suicide and took everyone with him.

There are a great deal of abandoned air strips in Vietnam, left over from the war. They have some that are big enough to handle the largest of military aircrafts, so they could handle a passenger plane. They wouldnt' have to land in Malaysia.
