Biden gets a pass for the stupid **** he says. It's why Wolf Blitzer spent an entire broadcast day reporting hourly on Bush's dropping poll numbers but you won't see that now.
Wolf's been quite butthurt since Ted Nugent claimed he wasn't a real journalist - he's absolutely devastated.

I like the old saying - "book smart, life dumb" - seems to fit him quite well, unfortunately for your great country.
The vast majority of people that voted for him would have voted for a carrot with a D next to its name. (Same goes for the majority of GOP candidates and voters)

When he said that he had been campaigning in all 57 states, he was using that exaggeration to tell folks that he was tired enough to have visited 57 states.

He couldn't possibly not know how many states there actually are in the USA.

However, it's a fun gaff, so it will stick around forever. Just know that those who use it against him will never realize how stupid they sound. That's OK by me.
How about "corpse"men, when addressing troops after flying in on Air Force One? Was that jet lag too?

It depends who you are asking. When Bush bloopered, he was considered the dumbest man alive. Obama could personally waterboard a baby and his admirers would still find excuses for him.

Fair enough, which bolsters my point about him being smarter than the majority of average American voters.

No, that was reading phonetically from the teleprompter. A genuine gaff.

So the "most brilliant orator ever to serve in the office of President" has to have his speeches phonetically spelled out so he can deliver them? Gee, maybe I gave the guy too much credit for not being stupid.

Let's hope that's not the case...
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

No gaffe; he genuinely didn't know how to pronounce "corps." Now, if the teleprompter mistakenly showed the word "corpse" for "corps," that would be a gaffe.

He could care less what you think. He's the President of the United States of America and you are John from Canada. Not exactly on the same plane. His gaffs do help to bring him down a little. It's just not far enough John.
