Oh just because 0.01% of winning also means 99.99% odds that you will lose the money. What are the benefits here?

its fun that you can win even if in all likely hood you don't I guess

I rarely go to casino's but when I do, I do enjoy it. The casino's here are some of the few places you can have a drink and smoke a cigar indoors and just have chats with people. Since the Casinos here are on tribal lands the state smoking ban doesn't apply.

i will be at the Belliagio Hotel in Las Vegas June 8 in a Penthouse Suite for a few days, just to get away for awhile and do some fine dining and hit the craps table which is the only game i play.

craps is the fastest game, and the player has the ability to bring the odds of the house down, due to how the player bets.

i usually go to the Casino Royale on the strip, its just a very small casino, but they give the best table odds, on 1 table 100x, and the rest 10x.

i will be gambling, eating, and drinking and enjoying my room service.

Every 4 to 6 weeks we'll go to the Hard Rock in Tampa for the evening on a weekend. May return that night or stay overnight. About every 3-4 months will go to an offshore casino boat. May stop for a while if we see a large casino while traveling.

We only play slots, not tables, and not large amounts. We've never lost more than $200 for the night nor came out more than $200 ahead. Usually will be down about $150 for both of us - which I see as doing well for 4-6 hours at a casino. However, they can be costly stops as we buy the best meals they offer as it seems foolish to be cheap on food since playing at a casino is basically throwing money away.

Went to Vegas a few years ago - dropped into a casino. It was so busy and disorientating I'll probably never step foot in one again.

Nope, be it Atlantic City, River Boat, or Vegas and all the crap in between, I hate gambling. I mean, I throw money away on stupid BS, but gambling seems to be too efficient in those means with little entertainment payout. But I do know quite a number of folk who enjoy gambling and are entertained by it; and for them spending the money is fine. But they do recognize that they are spending money. They are under no delusions of "winning it big".

Go downtown. Lower minimums and often 100x odds which is much better....because I know you don't throw down 100x on a $20 table.

I used to live in Vegas and was in casinos all the time. They were a good place to go for a little food, a little drink and a little socializing.

.

I use to live in Vegas and it was casinos for some prime rib, a lot of drinking and getting laid.

But that was back before corporate America ###### everything up in Vegas, back when Vegas was still sin city and what happened in Vegas stayed in Vegas.

The steak house in Sam's Town used to be awesome!

The steak house in Sam's Town used to be awesome!

Never ate at the steak house at Sam's Town but done business with the owners of Sam's Town.

Sam's Town was always towards taking care of the locals I would say.

Back during the 80's we use to head over to Rum Runners for drinking and girls. If I remember correctly, a bottle of beer for .50 cents and the hottest local girls in Vegas.

Back during the 70's the El Cortes had a huge T-Bone steak that was pretty good. The El Cortes was already a dive by the mid 70's.

Binion's Horse Shoe downtown had the cheapest beers in town, .25 cents. But those were the good old days back when the Mafia was heavily involved on the Strip and when Anthony Spilotro aka "Tony the Ant" started to #### every thing up for everyone.

There been a lot of good eating establishments over the decades in Vegas. They came and eventually were gone and replaced by other good eating establishments.

I don't have luck when it comes to gambling, even the lottery. My tickets have never won, not once. Not even a free play. Some people win on a regular basis. Makes me wonder if some people are truly born with a horseshoe up their butt while others arent.

I avoid going to casinos, but I don't exactly dislike them either. I would not turn down an opportunity to go on a trip where gambling is prominent, but it would include a lot of prior planning, limiting exactly how much would be spent gambling.

I actually do tend to have some pretty good beginner's luck when it comes to gambling, but it doesn't last long enough to be worth it.

I used to go to Vegas for the NFR (Superbowl of rodeo) and PBR every year...now maybe just once every other year.

Cant be bothered with slots but have bankrolled myself that way in the past to the tables.

We play black jack or craps...and have a blast at both. I start with $200 for the night and when it's gone, it's gone but it's my entertainment for about 8-12 hrs. And most of the time I come out ahead, at least some.

Trick is...KNOW how to play BJ, play at BJ tables where people KNOW how to play, and leave any BJ or craps table that goes cold, fast.

I'm not kidding about the entertainment part...we have had some hysterical, pee your pants laughing nites on the tables...for hrs. Sometimes with total strangers, loads of times with the rodeo cowboys. Play for hrs and get meals comped too. If it was just about gambling I wouldnt bother....I have gone and not gambled at all...chose to use my $$ to shop instead :)
