    Correlation does not equal causation.

There is increasing evidence that consumption of soy protein in place of animal protein lowers blood cholesterol levels and may provide other cardiovascular benefits.

What that link shows is that some sometimes soy lowers cholesterol, sometimes it raises cholesterol and sometimes has no effect. It says absolutely nothing about heart disease.

But I don't expect long time strict vegans to be smart enough to comprehend that fact because of that diet's negative affects on the brain.

BS! You are letting your ideology cloud the facts.

BTW, nowhere in your link does it suggest that soy was ever used in the orient as a dietary staple for humans.

Simply, yes. Our culture has long since denigrated the idea of a strong male role model, leaving little positive to strive for. Furthermore, our system of child-rearing is currently geared to depress testosteronic (if that is a word) activities. No more dodgeball, no more competition - someone might get their feelings hurt. Better that we all go color rainbows. We'd rather everyone feel included than force anyone to undergo the bracing experience of standing against a group. We'd rather nobody get their feelings hurt than maximize individual liberty. We think it's mean to hurt people, even if those people are mass-rapists and murderers.

the values we hold up now are more feminine values v masculine ones. Men depress their masculinity to conform.
