I read option 4 as "funny tasting guy".

I was not down with that option.

The point Gipper is making is that there is a HUGE difference between the Expressed Preferences of women and their Revealed Preferences. They say they want one thing but their actions reveal something else entirely.

Meh. I can't speak for all women, but I very clearly stated what I want. I am not a child who doesn't know how to clearly explain what she wants. I'm an adult. I've been through all different kinds, and it's made me very specific in what I want (or what I wanted until I got married, who, coincidentally, was exactly the kind of guy I wanted).

A sweet Prince charming in public and a pirate in the bedroom

so you want to have sex with a guy who has one eye, a peg leg and is covered in parrot poop?

brutal

That guy's face is too pretty and clean for him to carry the bad boy image well. When I think of what is traditionally considered bad boy material, I think of this

Nowadays, I doubt that the biker image is identified with much, by the younger generation, but bad boys were traditionally considered to be a bad influence, and someone you didn't want your daughter hanging out with, for fear that she would end up in a world of ****.

I want to have sex with a guy who knows how to shiver me timbers and swab my deck

So you want to do the gyno who uses the cold speculum and does the PAP smear????

My wife says there is nothing sexy about it, but maybe she is hiding something from me.... :doh

I've never been drawn to the bad guys, even in HS. Now I do like a man with a backbone, and who is assertive when needed. But I always see ''bad boys'' as ones who would disrespect you in a heartbeat. Nothing attractive about that!

One word: rogue.

I had to choose the generic versions from a male model list.

My sister's idea of a bad boy, looks like Ronnie Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd, because she married their cousin. Who btw looks just like them, half hippy and half hillbilly.

are you joking or did your sister really marry into the Van Zant family?.......

Remember it's bad boy, not bad man. ;)

Bad Boy... badboy.jpg Bad Man... badman.jpg

No joke. But she's been divorced from him for 20 years and they (cousins) weren't that close.

That's looks more like a gang member...lol

Something in between is what I thought most would choose, because it's more realistic. The ideal person has many flavors and colors, interesting but not complicated.

Show us your Bad Boy.

And I'll show my bad girl. ;)

Picture biker -- long hair, moustache, beard, jeans.....

Never understood the Bad Boy appeal. If he'll do it with you, he'll do it to you, and if he has his favorite Bail Bondsman on speed dial, that should be a clue to get the hell out.

Give me a nice, normal, sensitive, caring guy every time.

I and I don't date de man dem. bombaclat.

It's a tragic cliche. If he loves me, he will chose me as a motivation to alter his behavior and that will prove his love for me. (i just threw up a little in my mouth) He will chose me over his bad boy decadence. He will sacrifice for me blah blah blah. Seriously, I'm a little sick to my stomach.

By no means are all women alike, but the patterns are visible because they happen to so many women. My question to you, if you don't mind the personal nature of the question, is whether you held the opinion (in bold) since you were a teenager or did that opinion develop as you matured and if the latter at what age did you come to hold that opinion?

Since the earliest age at which I realized that boys were different and yummy, I was nonetheless repulsed by swaggering, macho, self-indulgent rebels. So I guess you could say that I matured early in that regard, and never looked back. All of my serious relationships, including my high-school sweetheart, were extremely nice, funny, caring, sensitive individuals. I still admire and hold them all in high esteem.

No, your wife is being honest. There is nothing sexy about it. Cold room, cold speculum, cold lube, cold hard table, paper sheets, loose cotton gown, glaring florescent lighting, and a cold-ass doctor who has seen thousands that all look the same after awhile. ;)

Aren't they supposed to use warm water these days to minimize that a bit?

Bad boys make me laugh. I like a bit of danger, a challenge and poking them with a stick.
I like intelligence more.
