    Re: life without a penis

I use to go to church with a guy who didn't have (a natural) one. As a kid he was injured in an accident and lost it. The doctors were able to create a Chaz Bono replacement. He's seemingly very happily married but no with kids. He and his wife spoke at church once on overcoming challenges. She says they have an active sex-life and she "can hardly tell there's any issue." Of course, he can't sense anything and the accident occurred when he was a young boy so he has never experienced any sexual sensation. I did get the impression he was curious as to what he's missing out on and possibly struggles with resentment toward a relative who caused the accident as it was more a a situation where it was callous horse-playing more than an true accident.

To the bolded: I would consider him probably fortunate that he doesn't have to live with the memories, and can instead live without knowing what he is missing out on.

If you lose a penis, can't you go in for an adadictome?

Considering that they use the penis in that surgery, I can't imagine how they would do it. You have to have puzzle pieces to complete a puzzle, and in this case, some of the pieces had cancer.

"Just Shoot Me". In fact, I have a bullet in my dresser at home that's sole purpose is to end my life if I end up with Cancer, or any number of other diseases, maladies, or situations I have no interest in living through.

    Reminds me of a story-

Little Jane's mom was watching the neighbor's kid, little Johnny for an afternoon. As kids are curious they did the ol' show me yours and I'll show you mine. Little Jane came running in to her mommy crying. "Mommy I don't have what Johnny has down here!"

With a sigh her mom said, "Honey when you grow older, with what you have down there you can have a dozen of what Johnny has down there."

    Such is life....

If all that's missing is the member, you'd think that he could still have kids. Is that by choice?

It depends on what my situation in life was. If I was using my penis on a regular basis, I might just die because my wife or GF would deserve a shot at getting some. In my present situation, I might just go without (though I'm not completely without hope).

Some of my decision-making process would need to be adjusted, for one thing.
