Do you think the Conservatives and Tea party should split off from the main stream GOP and create their own political party.
1) Yes
2) No
3) The GOP should push both of them out of the Republican party
4) Other (explain)

The Conservatives and the Tea Party certainly have their own ideas on how the Country should be governed.
If they think they have the right ideas and wide support of the people, then why do they not create their own political party.

They both think the speaker of the house should be fired, that taxes are too high, regulations should be relaxed, they both want to do away with food stamps or drastically reduce them. They want to change SS and eventually do away with it. And lots of other things.

They don't like or agree with the main stream GOP and yet are happy to live under the umbrella of the GOP.

If they created their own party they would be able to get their own message out without being held to the GOP standards.
I'm sure they could find lots of business donors as well as private citizens to donate to them. They could possibly take several Republicans, Independents and who knows, maybe even some Democrats with them.

I know it's hard, but lets try to have a civil discussion and not a pissing match.

This is a private poll in an effort to keep it as civil as possible

They shouldn't. Party division is the last thing either major party needs. Tea Partiers may not agree with the RINOs on everything, but being together in a party is what is currently keeping the Democrats' liberal policies from becoming federal legislation. Sure, I'd like that because I'm a liberal myself. But it's bad for the right-wing from an objective standpoint.

Who exactly are these non-tea party conservatives that have the exact same ideals as the tea party? I think conservatives who have the same ideals as the tea party consider themselves tea party and those who don't do not.

Agreed. It's impractical for both groups to split. It only helps Democrats.

Only if they promise to STFU about homosexuality, the war on drugs or abortion. Else, its just another GOP on the "wrong side of history."

That might be true, however if they really believe in themselves then it might be time. They may lose some elections at until they get it together. Then with the support they seem to have they would be a force to be delt with.

I think the GOP should kick the RINOs out.Let them form their own party. They could simply join the democrats or call themselves democrat lites(spelled sort of like miller lite).

I still don't see it unless the Republican Party or the Tea Party disappears and becomes as insignificant as the Socialist Party. You'll have two major splitting the conservative vote and the Democratic party getting all the liberal votes. Some of the Democratic policies would have to REALLY **** up for that to change.

There are virtually no actual conservatives left in the Republican Party as it is, there are just neo-cons and I wish all of the neo-cons would go leap off a cliff somewhere. We need actual conservatives back in control of the Republicans.

Actually, if the tea party split off, some of us might be persuaded to come to the GOP again.

When you remove the idiots in your party, you'll find the party becomes more attractive to independents.

The tea-party should always remain as a wing of the GOP the same way that pinkos should always remain as a wing of the democrat party.

They could just have a civil war like our Conservatives are and see who wins. They could adopt the Progressive Conservative label ours used.

Maybe they should learn to compromise instead. Or is such a thing even possible in America? I'm a huge fan of compromise. I'd rather get a little of something than all of nothing.

Then, united, they could compromise with the Democrats and together they could.....you know....do better?

I'm working on a Science Fiction novel obviously...

A third party taken mostly from the Republicans would obviously leave the Democrats with a lot more votes than either the Tea Party or the rest of the Republicans.

Better, let's form a new party, call it the America First party, and take the best from both major parties, the great center of America.

America first as opposed to the current reality of Party First, that is.

This is just silliness.

Republicans created the Tea Party as a way of generating passion and interest among the most moronic Republicans.
It started out as merely a way to increase voter turn out.
But the Republicans and Fox News who created the Tea Party under estimated the numbers and the extent of ignorance and stupidity within their party and it has taken on a life of it's own.

The Tea Party is nothing but a tactic, no different than Republicans telling red necks that Obama wants their guns and is hording ammunition.
It riles up the weak minded, the uneducated, the bitter, and the racists.
This is sort of like the Debt Ceiling debacle.
No one is actually against raising it and for refusing to pay our bills. Each side pretends to be against it while secretly being for it because they know that there are incredibly stupid Americans out there that just don't understand what the debt ceiling is and they know that they can rile them up and increase voter turn out.

These tactics back fired on Republicans. They fooled too many people this time around and now the morons that do not understand how Government works, instead of voting for traditional Republicans, are voting for other morons that don't understand how Government works, which by the way... just happen to also be Republicans.
Now we have elected officials that want to destroy the Government and a voting base of loonies that think this is good. All of which are former Republicans that missed the bus.

I voted other. I think Conservatives should stay in the GOP and the 'Tea Party' can go.

Republicans are incapable of compromise.

Absolutely. They should form a third party - leave the GOP - and run candidates across the board for all offices ASAP.

I hear you, the Republican party has become the angry white christian male party. The tea party is just angry rabble, they killed a good party. I'm happy to be independent.

The tea-party should always remain as a wing of the GOP the same way that pinkos should always remain as a wing of the democrat party.

Now all Democratic party is "pinkos'. Pincos in the midl and red on left side.

Whoops. Accidentally voted GOP should vote them out of the Republican Party. I read it wrong on accident. Just temporarily dyslexic. I wish I could undo my vote.

I meant to vote No.

Only when it comes to something you want.

Both parties are made up of varying factions. The factions of the GOP really cannot split into separate parties with any chance of winning an election unless the factions in the DNC also did so. Many Libertarians have been trying to do this for awhile now, however, most of their representatives that get elected are elected as GOP candidates, such as Ron Paul, and not as Libertarians.

Some of us primarily support GOP candidates, not because we believe them, support their causes or even think they will do anything useful but support them because they are not DNC candidates which has been taken over by socialist minded candidates in recent times. Frankly, there are a lot of issues that I could support the DNC on over the GOP if they would just drop the socialist methodologies to accomplish what they want to do.
