Whoops. Accidentally voted GOP should vote them out of the Republican Party. I read it wrong on accident. Just temporarily dyslexic. I wish I could undo my vote.

    I meant to vote No.

Only when it comes to something you want.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

Re: Should the Conservatives and Tea Party join.

Both parties are made up of varying factions. The factions of the GOP really cannot split into separate parties with any chance of winning an election unless the factions in the DNC also did so. Many Libertarians have been trying to do this for awhile now, however, most of their representatives that get elected are elected as GOP candidates, such as Ron Paul, and not as Libertarians.

Some of us primarily support GOP candidates, not because we believe them, support their causes or even think they will do anything useful but support them because they are not DNC candidates which has been taken over by socialist minded candidates in recent times. Frankly, there are a lot of issues that I could support the DNC on over the GOP if they would just drop the socialist methodologies to accomplish what they want to do.

The idea of compromise is sacrifice parts of what you want, to get enough of what you need.

although that sounds like the correct form of action, it would have negative results for the GOP, which i know you would love to see.

it would DESTROY the GOP's opportunity to take the senate this year, and leave them smaller, and a small tea party.

leaving the democrats the ability to weather the storm because of obamacare /Obama's executive orders the people do not like, and his failed policies.

understand i am just pointing out what would happen, and your great desire for the split.

The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

I think US conservatives should bail on the Repugnantcants and form a Conservative Party and liberals should leave the Democratic Party to the pseudo-libbos and whiny-lefties and form a Liberal Party. Watch democracy bloom in the USA then.
