I was 24.
Do you mean not built for it in an anatomical sense or just in a general demeanor and temperament sense?
No I'm not kidding. She stole it. She's a gearhead and made me promise that if she helped me fix it that she could drive it. I didn't say that she could keep it. I said she could drive it. So I bought a stock clutch and behind my back she took it back and bought a racing clutch for it, which cost a couple hundred dollars more. And we installed it together. Then she pretty much laid claim to the car. And kept it. I said she could drive it, not keep it.I was 30. I had a pretty wild life at the time and never thought of myself as a mom. Turned out to be the absolute best thing that ever could have happened to me and nothing as ever been more difficult to do.
I think it's rare for someone that young (you being 18) to end up feeling it was a good thing. So kudos to you for rising to the occasion.
I'm gonna guess you were kidding about the car thing.

I finally gave up on trying to convince her to give it back so I told her she could keep it as a Christmas present.
You seem like a very interesting and complicated person.Definitely not the demeanor/temperament sense, which is the the overwhelming reason I won't be having any.
Incidentally, there is some medical question as to whether I'm built for it physically as well, but I never pursued it -- obviously I couldn't care less.
Yes, car thieves are just such cute conniving and manipulative little bundles of joy. :lol:Awwww kids.

So were you the father or were you the mother?I was 27 when my first son was born and 45 when the second was born.
That is something that I've been thinking about. My spouse is 11 weeks pregnant and I am 46 years old.Its more not wanting to be in my 60's when they get to be in high school.
So were you the father or were you the mother?
I'm guessing father simply because of age. But I don't know. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Most members of this forum indicate their gender. But I've noticed that you do not.I was the father.
In both cases as a matter of fact.

I've been here so long most everybody knows it.
It's my political lean that keeps most people guessing.
I was 35 when I became a parent, but my kids were born when I was 27 & 28 respectively. They just weren't my kids at first.
It's your sense of humor that keeps me guessing.I've been here so long most everybody knows it.
