It's no different than Geraldine Ferraro setting back female candidates for years to come and Sarah Palin doing the same. Personally, I think Hillary Clinton's gender worked against her back in 2007/8 - we'll see if it actually works against her in 2016, if she chooses to run, and if the media doesn't turn on her again.
I prefer to judge the candidates individually. Ferraro and Palin weren't the sharpest tools in the shed. Hillary's biggest problem in '08 was that she ran on "inevitability" and that strategy backfired. Just like when a football team looks past the team they're playing, they lose.

IMO Obama has been no worse or better than Bush II. In fact they have governed about the same. With as big a government we have, it is probably impossible to do any major changes outside tinkering around the edges. One can spout rhetoric all day and all night and have the majority believe them, but in actually changing things run by non-elected bureaucrats who were there before a new president arrives and will be there long after he is gone, government is going to do what government is going to do. Grow and enhance power over the individual.
This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

It's Ace, Ace Ventura. And yes, they're definitely related, but not genetically. They're of a kind we generally refer to as, and this is a scientific term, nuts.

Jesse Ventura's coalition: left-leaning libertarian, left-wing nutters, conspiracy theorists, internet junkies.

    Thus: Should not run.

I heard that Jesse moved to Parts Unknown: "A place where everyone wears a mask and there is not one scale in town."

    Pro-choice
Populist economics (a bit more left-wing, but some popularity among the Paulite crowd)
Pro-Civil Union for homosexuals (this was when that was a solidly liberal position for electoral politics)
    Critical of strong-arm criminal punishment
    Anti-war on drugs
    Anti-war on terrorism
Anti-public school choice, pro-public school increase in funding
    Anti-creationism in the schools
Acknowledges global warming, pro-alternative energy and internal development
Not isolationist foreign policy, but immensely critical of American policy toward Cuba and others..again, big skeptic with regard to the war on terror
    Populist, democratic governmental reform
Somewhat in the middle with healthcare
More of a skeptic of anti-illegal immigrant lobbyists
    Solidly pro-union, pro-agricultural subsidies
In regard to many issues, more libertarian (welfare state, etc.)
