I actualy refuse to describe myself frequently and try to let other people do that, since I believe that I would be dishonest and try to make me look either as positive or negative as possible.

What I can say with certainty is that I am very patient and that I face problems and tasks head on. I am for example afraid of hights, but instead of crawling arround on the ground I go climbe mountains in the alps and try to route this problem out directly through facing it. That`s pritty much the way I face every challenge -forwards into doom!

Apparently "ISFP"..which means I am a free soul. Yet, I am not, and am somewhat of an eye-roller toward those that are the free souls. Whatever.

Same here. I'll freely admit that a lot of this stuff might be hokum, but I do seem to get the same result every time I take one of these tests, and the description of an INTJ personality type does sound a lot like me.

I figure that there has to be at least some truth to it.

Yeah, I tend to think the same thing. The description sounds like me, and I get the same result every time I take it so I'm guessing there is some validity to it. Like a lot of psychological stuff though there can be variances but the test seems to be halfway decent.

I got to number 20, saw there were 40 more questions...and gave up.

Free personality test | 16 Personality Types

This subject has come up in a few other threads around here recently, so I thought it might be interesting to post the test above for the whole board to take.

I'm honestly curious to see what kinds of personality types DP seems most likely to attract.

As for myself, I am a "Rational" INTJ (Introverted 67%, intuitive 50%, Thinking 63%, Judging 23%) type.

INTP whatever that means which I suspect is not much. These things IMHO are like horoscopes they might get the general gist and that's as far as it goes.

To be fair here, it is just a tad better than that.

Horoscopes are wholly arbitrary. They're basically like fortune cookies. They make something up, and it either vaguely sounds like you, or it doesn't.

Personality type is based off of a person's temperament and personal preferences. I'd certainly agree that things probably aren't as neat and tidy as the test makes out, but it's hard to deny that some people do seem to legitimately favor certain types of thought patterns and behaviors over others on an innate basis.

It is also hard to deny that some of those temperaments and preferences seem to fit into readily classifiable archetypes as well.

Well it seems I have an ISTJ personality.

Better than having a STD that some of the other personalities would be comparable to.

Have you had a good astrological horoscope (birthtime down to the minute and worked from there) done on you? Those things can be uncanny. Really weird. I haven't looked into the mechanics but I have had some detailed readings done and they can be about as accurate as the personality tests. Maybe its an expectations thing in the mind.

I think your right on the preferences thing and how they can be classified.

Interesting. I wonder if it actually works off of more or less the same principles as the personality test.

There are supposed to be certain elements of body language and interpersonal style that can clue you in to that kind of thing as well. It's entirely possible that the person doing the reading might simply be going off of those to tailor the profile they hand out.

Extraversion - 20%, Sensing - 7%, Thinking - 11%, Prospecting - 7%.

So I guess I'm a moderate artisan.

INFJ

"The INFJ type is believed to be very rare (less than 1 percent of the population) and it has an unusual set of traits. Even though their presence can be described as very quiet, INFJ personalities usually have many strong opinions, especially when it comes to issues they consider really important in life. If an INFJ is fighting for something, this is because they believe in the idea itself, not because of some selfish reasons..."

Eh. I always knew I was a rare bird. :)

These "tests" are bullcrap.
I don't need a stupid test to understand my personality traits.
Only a mental cripple searching for an ego massage would.

enfj................

I didn't bother. I'm a grade A text book extrovert.
