I think the problem with internet forums is, there's no obligation to avail oneself of education in advance.
I would suggest you read Mao, The unknown story, or the Private Life of Chairman Mao to see what a communist utopia looks like when its put into practice.

Every other presidency has been a cakewalk compared to what those two men had to contend with, and aside with a few total nutjobs might claim, the are widely regarded by the public and by historians as two of the greatest presidents in U.S. history.
George Washington had to keep a New Born Country from failing apart and he was doing that before He was elected President.

Yes, there is a sense of security in ones beliefs when just about every reasoned individual on earth agrees with them. You should try it sometime.

What it requires, dear heart, is a pole dancer and a Santa hat.

I guess you know what you have to do.

George Washington had a cakewalk compared to the Civil War and Great Depression. The Civil War nearly destroyed the country (the death rate in the Civil War was exponentially higher than it was in the Revolution) and had a lesser man been president during the Great Depression its quite possible we could have ended up having a communist revolution as the country fell apart due to widespread famine and starvation. You should ask your grandparents just how bad things were when FDR took office.

Whereas I'd suggest that a half-baked autodidact does not an authority make.

Except they are not reasoned at all. You literally have to forget he locked up thousands of Americans for being Japanese, forget that he actually thought that if you just raise prices, the economy will get better (literally retarded thinking, literally), and that he created a massive spying state, and intervened in all sorts of minute details of day to day life of every American.

My Grandparents don't like FDR because they viewed him as a tyrant the only thing FDR was good at was giving speeches and making people feel better, Which is much different from actually making them better off. FDR New deal failed, He tried to change the Supreme Court after they ruled against him, He was a fan of Mussolini and Hitler, He is the reason why two terms is the law for presidents.Unlawfully intern Japanese Americans. Just look at the numbers for unemployment during his time as CnC. He never pulled out of the Depression during his time.

Well my Grandparents loved him. Even Reagan loved him at the time. His approval rate was the highest ever measured for a president. That said, its subjective and we are obviously not going to agree.
