Unfortunately your poll is missing an option.

I am both.

A more interesting poll question would be :

are you pro-life or pro capital punishment?

The comparison with all due respect is ridiculous....Some one that is Convicted of a capital crime should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law........A baby who is murdered in the womb has committed no crime.....Why can't you see the difference?

Poll results say it all.

If you're pro-life, you were bullied at school and didn't lose your virginity until well into your twenties.

on a side note that was funny lol

Let's look at real numbers from a variety of polls including the most recent ones, and not at a biased source reporting on just one poll: Abortion

Not quite the picture you are trying to paint....

And as usual I cannot vote in your poll since neither option is accurate for me.

You say Gallup is bias? LMAO its the most respected polling co. in this country and that poll is the latest.

As usual, bias sources report the parts of studies that suit them best, and not parts that don't.

We are given no definition of what "most" means. A lot of people believe women abort later than they do, and are misinformed about how abortion is performed.

Also, if you actually go to Gallup and look at their actual survey, you will find the the majority of Americans want to uphold Roe V. Wade, most people support legality of first trimester abortions, and there are about as many pro-choicers as pro-lifers.

If I defect to the pro-life camp, do I get a cashmere throw over and a lifetime supply of Cheerios?

Your source is not Gallup NP. Nice try, but fail.

OK, read it and weep.

Interesting....but when looking at the entirety of the poll, and reflecting individual questions and circumstances...it's not a read'em and weep situation.

And for all those who have an objection to abortion...they have the easiest way to deal with it. Don't get an abortion.

Even if Roe v Wade was overturned...it would only end legal abortion. But laws regarding abortion in and of themselves don't prevent abortion.

It only makes abortion harder for poor women. There is a nation to our north that has ZERO restrictions on abortion. That nation will become a lot busier.

So there's only glory for anti-abortionist knowing that they might succeed in causing death and destruction to born persons...along with the terminations of pregnancies obtained by illegal mean.

How sad it is when the United States of America joins the ranks of the crazies in the Middle East who obsess on inflicting oppression and repression on the women in their countries.

Hip hip hooray American Moral Fascists... :hm

16 to 6 pro abortion...I guess I should not be surprised...It just shows how out of touch the members of this forum with the reality with the country...Thank god you don't represent it..........Have a wonderful evening.

Ah, nostalgia.

Back when men were men and women were in traction.

Your losing your reading comprehension Redress.......You need some specs? :)

I know the difference between poll results and some one making claims about the results without actually linking to the poll since it would prove them wrong. You should learn the difference too.

Or to put it another way, christian post's website is not Gallup. Trying to claim it is is going to fail every time.

Redress...here's the actual poll...and at close inspection it's not all of the read'em and weep percentages that the CHRISTIAN POST would love us to believe. Christians who won't take the time to carefully read all three pages and consider all the variables will love it....

That is not the poll his source references. I linked to the one it references here in this thread. You will notice he us avoiding it desperately. It is the annual values poll, and has lots of data he won't like.

Edit: here it is: http://www.gallup.com/poll/162689/record-high-say-gay-lesbian-relations-morally.aspx

Redress...I just looked at your link..

here's what the article said that Navy posted...

Gallup's annual Values and Beliefs poll, which was conducted May 2-7, found that 58 percent of Americans want most or all abortions illegal. The poll also found 20 percent of respondents wanted abortion illegal in all circumstances with 38 percent feeling it was permissible in only certain circumstances.

The link I posted showed the latest polling date May 7...soooo?

'scuse me...'scuse me! *raises hand*

You still claim we are out of touch of reality with 'the country', yet you didnt address this (from your source):

Er...that was in an article from a Christian publication and here is a quote from that article:

"In the article, Michael New said: "a recent NBC/Wall Street Journal poll covered in the Washington Post and elsewhere suggested that 70 percent of Americans oppose overturning Roe v. Wade.
