pro-choice is what's called a "euphemism" that's when you make up a bullsh!t term to make an otherwise hard to defend position sound palatable....


to the question in the OP

personally against abortion, currently favor allowing it to remain legal, however I think the state should officially discourage it as an option and expand social services as an incentive to carry a child........

My wife used birth control pills and never got pregnant after we had the kids we wanted. SO it was 100% for 20+ years. If you favor murder instead of birth control, that is on you

Pro-choice is not "pro-abortion". In fact, many people who are pro-choice are personally anti-abortion. We, however, don't want the government making the choices. We are in favor of personally choice and responsibility....not a police state in which the big brother government makes the most intimate of life's choices for us.

Ugh. I'm a Dem and mostly liberal and this is the WORST example of that side of the fence...give them taxpayer $$$$ to encourage them to have kids that the taxpayers will CONTINUE to have to support. *disgust*
 
These people need to stay in their own lanes. If a woman want to go and abortion it should be her choice.

also many are confused about what pro-life/pro-choice is, according to some pro-life is all abortions banned for any reason

I couldnt take the Pill...it gave me high blood pressure. Not everyone can take it. And not everyone can get pregnant later after being on it for long periods of time.

It is also not 100%...your wife is not 'proof.' (Any more than your 47 yr old uncle that died of lung cancer got it because he smoked pot).

virtually no one has a child for the pure reason of collecting welfare, regardless of what the right wing echo chamber has put out......

however, if someone becomes pregnant, I believe society benefits from having more people, and if money is a driving issue in the decision to abort, as it often is, yes I fully support offering social services..... social services allowing children to eat and be educated are always a net benefit to society, well maybe not always, but more often then not.

Funny. I took it to be a literal term.

Any euphemisms are liable to be misinterpretations from the pro-life quarter. Still, from the limitless fount of my goodwill, I forgive them.

in this country abortion is factual not murder
those babies also could have been abandoned, still born, born with horrific defeats, abused and future mass murders or rapist

funny how facts destroy your one sided view very fast

i dont find it hard to defend at all, pro-choice with limits is actually the easiest to defend unless one doesn't care about human, equal, legal rights of BOTH the lives involved

Er...that was in an article from a Christian publication and here is a quote from that article:

I, personally, don't care for the idea of abortion, but I am not going to sit around and dictate how other people will live their lives. It isn't my choice to make, nor my decision to live with. Besides, children that are not wanted are probably more likely to be abused and I think that is worse to subject a child too.

that's the stupidest damn thing people can ever say, that's like asking "are you against shooting random people on the street or pro-capital punishment?

I tend liberal on many social issues, but yes I do support capital punishment, there is nothing morally wrong about a murderer being killed by the state subject to judicial decree in a trial, you can literally believe abortion is murder and support capital punishment.....

how about we pass a law allowing lawyers for the unborn to file 25 years of habeus corpus petitions in federal court before the abortion can take place? in exhange, abolish the death penalty, any takers? :roll:
