    Nah.

In this case he lives in a different county, so it's a "what if" survey more than anything else. But, even if we did live in the same county I would be honest... if asked.

This does remind me of a former neighbor. He ran for city council. He got ONE vote... his. His own wife didn't even vote for him, and she told him she did (she was very politically active as well)... then the official numbers came out. They had a strained relationship for awhile after that.
If you claim sexual harassment to be wrong, yet you defend anyone on your side for any reason,
then you are a hypocrite and everything you say on the matter is just babble.

What's a little white lie between friends? Most friendships need a little lie every now and then to keep them going, its for the greater good.

    the greater good...

    Never.

Real friends don't live in your back pocket.

I have a friend who is basically an outright socialist, politically.
Unless my views change, I highly doubt I would endorse him for public office...Then again, we agree on some things, too....

As to the poll...no, I would not endorse even a family member for public office, let alone a friend, if I disagreed with them as much as you indicate.

I jumped the gun and voted not sure. I didn't read first that you disagreed with them. In that case I would switch my vote to no!

Nope. Nothing personal, but I wouldn't endorse someone for public office who has a platform I disagree with. It goes against the very purpose.

Of course I would, if I thought they would be the best choice for the job.

First, I've got so much dirt on my friends that they'd have to pay me to keep quiet. In fact, I'd insist on hush money. Second, hell no I wouldn't vote for them if I disagreed with their politics and policy. I might, for a fee, work their campaign like a good capitalist.
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

OP really should have worded the poll question better.

He was actually asking if you would support a friend if you DISagreed with them.

Thanks. I was just going by the poll question, as it was posted.
