Yes Bushphones would probably be more correct. Under Bush's administration the first cell phones were given out to welfare families.

You are the one who just told everyone that the Democrats started the Vietnam war. Are you a "leftist"? You seem to be pretty "keen" on blaming fellow Americans for starting it.
The Communists started the war with the French because of colonial rule? There was communist expansion going on throughout the world and many excuses were used as to why Communism might be justified. But many millions dead because it was a French colony? Have you really thought this through?

I protested the US involvement in the Vietnam civil war as early as 1964.

He was President when the war was lost I didn't blame him ..I simply stated that fact. You said Nixon ended the war. The war didn't end until Saigon fell in 1975 when Ford was President.

The war between the North and the South was started by Ho Chi Minh against the French in 1941. It was called the first Indochina war.

The US had the opportunity to support Ho Chi Minh in his civil war against the French but we decided not to. The communists filled the void and supported the North and Ho chi Minh against the French.

So despite Americans not being involved during that period, Gerald Ford is still responsible for the loss. Well, okay!

The American people turned against the war, or at least the Leftists did, just as they did in Afghanistan and Iraq. American is not likely to win another war again, and they haven't for a long while.
I disagree. We actually won Vietnam when we withdrew and let the people of Vietnam have their own country to run. They were at war against colonial influence, namely the French and we took the WRONG side. Their ideology was really not important except to us and the Russians. The Vietnamese were really just pawns in a proxy "war" between the superpowers. Amazingly enough they have forgiven us and become trusted allies in the pacific. Who would have guessed?

Americans should have fought alongside the communists?? I'm really enjoying your posts!

Why shouldn't the Vietnamese forgive Americans? They are an intelligent people and understand the Americans were on the side of freedom.

It's the Americans, the leftists really, who will never forgive their fellow Americans. They are why America will never win another war.

Nixon didn't "end the war" as you stated just as Democrats did not start the war as you stated ...The war the US fought for over a decade ended with a loss to the communists while Ford was POTUS., and it started between Ho Chi Minh's army and the French in 1941.
    You have been corrected.

The were not Communists as much as freedom fighters. The wanted freedom from European domination. Sound familiar?
The side we fought on had a President that spoke FRENCH. No wonder we lost.
