Trader Joe's has to be one of the coolest places to work. I love that place. People who work there seem to enjoy their jobs.

Re: Your level of education, career, and political leanings.

Graduated high school in 3 1/2 years with a B average in all honors courses. Moved out of my parent's house during my senior year (17) and had a full time job while I finished school with no driver's license. At the time in Illinois you couldn't get a license before 18 unless you took driver's ed and my prick of a father wouldn't sign off for m to take the class. Guidance counselors kept pushing me toward college because I had the grades but I didn't know what I wanted to do yet so I declined. Didn't see the point in amassing student debt without a clear direction (weird, huh?). I was second in my class in vocational ed for digital electronics and had picked up a spot with Canon copiers to be a field repair tech. Since I graduated early I was waiting for the rest of the class and then we would all go on to training for Canon.

In the mean time I cut off a couple of my fingers at work using a table saw. Canon withdrew their offer. After the fingers were replanted and the pins came out I got a job at a Montgomery Ward as a tire mounter, and the rest is history. I have continued education over the last 27 years and now I am the highest credentialed mechanic in the county.

So technically hhigh school although there were other short courses that were very specific, no degree. But I'm in my 7th year of business ownership.

I hate the actual work, although it is rather simple. I enjoy my co-workers a lot, however. Overall, it's a pretty chill job.

BS in Computer Science, halfway to an MS in Software Engineering when real life (kids) took priority.

Mid level engineering manager in a financial services firm. I basically keep the organization out of the way of people who are smarter than me so they can work their magic.

Additionally pick some gas money as a freelance flight instructor and part time musician.

Would like to formally return to school one day. Right now though I'm very happily spending mornings on Coursera.

You can mention if you're continuing education as well.

(yes, I forgot the apostrophe, take me to judge judy)
Your poll should include indoctrination by the left.

Somewhere along the line, maybe the earlier 70's attending college became liberal indoctrination.

When did a course in quantum physics become a liberal political science course ? Was it in 1976 ?

When did the requirements of requiring so many units of history were removed when earning a BA in business administration ?

What kind of career does someone go into with a BA degree in Hispanic transgender gay & lesbian studies ?
