I believe climate change occurs naturally regardless of how minute or severe those changes are.It is something that has been going on for billions of years on this planet and it is stupid to use a hundred or two hundred years of temperatures changes to claim we are having man made induced climate change. If the billions of years of climate change was a bucket of water the last 100-200 years would be microscopic drop of water.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

The climate of course changes naturally, due to atmospheric conditions, the activity of the sun, etc

I also expect that it can be changed due to human activity, releasing what was otherwise sequestered carbon, is most likely going to have an effect, I would think not as large as natural changes will

I'm pretty sure that 7 billion humans eating, ****ting, farting, driving, smoking, manufacturing, cutting down trees etc. etc. has a substantial effect on climatic conditions.

Other than mass executions (or less forceful population reductions), I don't see any practical solutions. I do think filtration, regrowth and other methods can help slow or alleviate things - somewhat...

The atmosphere of the planet Earth is only 4 miles or less high, for the purposes of human and other organisms. Calculate what the volume and weight of that atmosphere and then consider if 6 or 7 billion polluters on the planet could generate a cause and effect relationship on that atmosphere. There really isn't too much atmosphere to work with. In a fantasy world, we could pretend that we aren't polluting or you can look at the smoker next to you or hold your hand over the end of the tailpipe of a running auto or truck if you want a reality check. Then there is water. Maybe a trip to the huge Ocean "dead zones" could cause a synaptic trigger to initiate a thought that perhaps, collectively, we are rapidly screwing up this planet. I know we personally will be dead before the effects are dramatic, and that would just emphasize our collective lack of responsibility. Like it or lump it, we need to adjust our lifestyles to nearly Amish sensibilities. We must establish a natural relationship with the Planet.

There are pros and cons to "climate change," not really interested in state claims of how they can stop it.

It occurs, man is probably changing something, and politicians are using it to acquire more power.

Climate changes naturally of course, and there have been major shifts in the past. I think it's also at least logical that we could alter the climate by changing the composition of the atmosphere. I think that we simply don't have enough information, or a good enough grasp of an incredibly complex system to definitively state that the current warming trend is or is not man-made. I also think though, that even without definitive proof that we're causing the warming trend, it's a good idea to encourage the development of alternative, non-carbon-based energy sources.

Re: What is your view on climate change?

The principal difference between those scientists who answer "yes" to the question "Is human activity having an effect on climate?" and those who think that this answer is the same as "We are all doomed" is a lack of intelligence.

Obviously human activity is having an effect on climate. The climate in a large city is different to that outside urban areas. It's less cold in winter.

Is this a massive problem? Is it a massive impact?
