    Again I agree with cpwill.

I have made similar comments several times in the past on this subject.

Since neither side will ever be a really good friend of the West, it really doesn't matter who 'wins'. Let them destroy each other. That would be a good thing.

Other than that this has the potential of spilling over into Lebanon and nobody wants the brutal 1980s civil war to repeat itself there.
Unbelievable, it's nothing but a cesspool.

    100% correct.

I actually believe that it's a worse mess than Afghanistan (Where there are also a lot of different groups involved.)

I really don't believe that any outside group or nation will gain anything in Syria but it needs to be brought to some kind of conclusion for the poor people who are suffering there. That is the only thing that the USA should be trying to do there.

There will be no winners in this war.

No matter how long it would take Assad will eventually fall.
A leader cannot prevail against his own people.
It would take time however, considering the massive assistance the Assad forces are getting from their friends in Iran and Lebanon.

I voted "Other" as I feel there will be no winner in the near future.
If there had been an option for " continued violence with no end in sight", that would have been my selection.
