Probably you are right about where the police held me up and the case I was thinking of was Croatia. But I have been to almost every country from Turkey over Greece to Poland and found the police in the area always happy to use their clout.

As an American I found Kosovo, Albania, and to a lesser extent Macedonia to be thoroughly enjoyable places to visit. The people are not only incredibly friendly they have an overwhelming warmth towards Americans, particularly in Tirana and Pristina. The country, especially northern Albania, is very pretty and the prices are miles below what you would find anywhere else in Europe. If you get a chance take a trip over you'll be happy and the people will greatly appreciate your visit.

There are only a few places I wouldnt take a trip to. Kosova sounds pretty cool.

I had to choose the 3rd option.

But I'd probably visit, if it was really free, no catches (or catches I could accept).

Yeah says you should call "1-800-622-8600 between 9:00am - 7:30pm weekdays, Eastern Time" to arrange them for such a trip is not available for the time being for online bookings.

    You are incredible!

To the point that seeing you tour around these parts there is always a tendency to approach and see if all is well, see if you are really having a good time. But there is always and always a conflict:

Should I approach and possibly intrude = unpleasant experience.

Should I let them be so as to avoid intrusion (even though the guy seems a bit lost) = unpleasant experience.

Plus, I am kinda big and well built. Sometimes when I approach with a "Hey bud, you seem kinda lost, do you need anything? " I get:

" I am not lost!!! Who told you I am lost "

Re: Would you take a free trip to Dardania

Have a look at the link I gave you at the first post. Dardania has a lot to offer but it depends on what you are looking for.

Generally Prishtina the capital is a fast paced, night clubs, bars, endless parties kind of laud, big city. By contrast if you want calm, peaceful, history, culture, natural sites, then you visit Prizren. Plus explore other cities in the link and see what you may find interesting and worthy of exploring.

Lastly there are sites that are between cities such as the Cave of Gadime and waterfall sites also. Think drinks, good conversations, at a natural mountainous sites BBQ-ing and resting after being flood with many historical, cultural, information during Spring, Summer, and Autumn. While skiing in Winter.
