I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality. - MLK
Between the dirt and the trash, it was also probably the dirtiest city I've ever been in. It gave even New Orleans a run for the money in that regard.
Paris might not be especially bad in comparison to someplace like New York City, but I've frankly never been there anyway.
Would I go for a free trip to Paris? Sure!
I know a few very nice Texans I would like to visit.
"you're better off on Stormfront discussing how evil brown men are taking innocent white flowers." Infinite Chaos
Am I the only one on DP who actually DID win a free trip to Paris? Actually, it was better than free - I got paid to go. For work.
I had a medical conference there a few years ago, was sent courtesy of my employers at the Wonder Drug Factory, and was able to take a few days after to see the city more in depth. A great city for walking - as good as New York. I probably walked 10 miles per day (fueled by cafe au lait, crossaints and eclairs, of course).
What a fantastic place. Its no more expensive than any other large cities to travel in, has a great public transportation system, and I've always found the reports of the French as rude to be way overblown. In my mind, its probably in the top 10 in cities to visit in the world.
Many Trump supporters have lots of problems, and those deplorables are bringing those problems to us. They’re racists. They’re misogynists. They’re islamophobic. They're xenophobes and homophobes. And some, I assume, are good people.
Only by tank.
Not really, I'm not big on travel, simply for the sake of travel and I've been to Paris anyhow.
