My nephew was in Buenos Aires a year ago. He said it was one of the best cities he's ever traveled to.

I was considering a trip there, but one side trip I wanted to hit was Iguazu Falls, which is supposed to be incredibly beautiful. If you have an extra day, or inclination to go North in Argentina, I've heard it's highly recommended.

Many Trump supporters have lots of problems, and those deplorables are bringing those problems to us. They’re racists. They’re misogynists. They’re islamophobic. They're xenophobes and homophobes. And some, I assume, are good people.

That is the wildest place to drive. It scared me to death and I'm not too freaked about driving in rough areas. The island is nearly all mountain. But they drive on the left hand side of the road...WITH american cars...if you can mentally see the problem with that.

The cabbies...well, take a bunch of Valium on cab rides... You'll like it. Go out on a small sailboat that accommodates like 8 people and snorkel at different island stops.

It's really not the shoveling itself that bothers me so much, as it is all of the extra things you have to do just to get out of your house! Extra clothing, shoveling, warming up the car for at least 20 minutes if you want to be warm, having to drive in the snow and deal with other drivers in the snow, etc.

We're considering that. It's 3 times the size of Niagara Falls. We have to fly there from BA. There is a lay over about an hour and half out...then a bit more travel time by air and land. The Sheraton Hotel has a place about 15 mins from the falls.

I hear you. I have a hard enough time just scraping all the ice off my car windows on especially cold mornings.

I should really buy a dedicated scraper, but it honestly happens so rarely that I usually forget. As such, I generally wind up having to use something silly like an old CD case.

But we found out that it's typhoon season and it rains in feet, not inches. So obviously that wouldn't be prudent.
That's some pretty sound reasoning for a trip.

We did the South Pacific deal a few years ago and spent some time on Easter Island in December. The weather was pretty decent, and it was nice being in a summer location during our winter.

Tierra del Fuego is something that's on our short list, kind of in the same area that you're heading to.

I'd definitely like to know how the trip goes.

Yea, I'm kind of in the same situation. My wife speaks a few different languages, which has enabled me to be lazy and just let her do the talking/ reading when we travel. As handy as it is, I think it's probably handicapped me a bit.

Yea, that's a pretty remote area.

Though we had pretty incredible internet connectivity while we were on Easter Island. I don't think that there's anywhere outside of the realm of wifi anymore, but mostly it depends upon the type of visitors. More remote areas honestly attract people who tend to be wealthier (eco tourists), which coincidentally tend to also be more connected (digitally speaking).

We were just in Monument Valley and northern Arizona/ New Mexico a few weeks ago and had trouble using any sort of internet connect.

Anyway, good luck with the trip. Sounds like a great destination.

You'd probably save some time if you had a scraper. It's much more efficient than a CD case.

    No way!

I always thought Smash Mouth's Greatest Hits worked so well!
