Has "Bridgegate" eliminated Chris Christie's chances for president?

He claims he had nothing to do with the bridge closure, it was his aide that did it.

    If so, good riddance.

Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false, and does not swear deceitfully. Psalm 24

He's still in the running. It's a bit of a complication, but he's handling it well. Even managed to lighten the mood at the press conference with some laughs after very serious tones. Every politician runs into something like this at some point in their careers, so very few adversaries can throw much more than pebbles at this. So long as the fallout is limited to this, I think he's fine.

I think I will wait until the aide's book comes out.
No men are anywhere, and Im allowed to go in, because Im the owner of the pageant and therefore Im inspecting it, Trump said... Is everyone OK? You know, theyre standing there with no clothes. Is everybody OK? And you see these incredible looking women, and so I sort of get away with things like that.

If I was an extreme conservative and it was Obama's aide who closed the bridge I would be sure to keep the story alive and call for his impeachment endlessly right up to the day he left office (and even then I'd be sure to bring it up for the next four years, and not forget to exaggerate it each time I told it). However, I'm not, the story is largely irrelevant, so I won't.

Unless something comes out showing he ordered it or had direct knowledge of it, I doubt it.

It just solidifies his candidacy as a democrat! Please encourage him to switch parties so he can be where he belongs.
