During the Bush administration there were a total of 53 attacks on US embassies and staff.

How many congressional hearings and opposition frenzies did that provoke?

It certainly is a big bump in the road. Time will tell how this plays out.

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

Unless something ties him to it personally, he's fine.

So far the story is "aide did something bad, aide got fired." If the aide DIDN'T get fired, that might hurt him....

It's never the scandal-it's the cover up. If theThe Obama administration would have simply told the truth from the get -go, the story would have disappreared in 5 minutes.

Same applies to Christie - if he IS lying about his involvement, he is through.

Non. The ambassador to Lybia is the first US ambassador to be killed in the line of duty since 1979.

But that does not matter, do you messure security issues on the amount of high profile deaths or the amount of attacks?????

It is not the same with Christie because he was not personaly involved.

And there was a cover up? As far as I know the administration was simply to incompetent to figure out who did it in the first few days after the attack (which in my opinion doesnt make the situation any better)

The American ambassador to Afghanistan was murderd in 1979 by islamist extremists.

That was the last US ambassador after the Lybian ambassador who had been killed.

No, this is not a thread for you to continue your attacks on Obama.
