Should E-cigarettes be allowed to advertise on radio and TV.

Cigarette adverting has been banned from radio and TV since 1971. According to the following WSJ article, the e-cigarette industry has big plans for 2014. Should they be stopped?

    Yes

They are salvation for addicted smokers. They must be regulated and sold to those of age but advertising them as alternatives to nicotine addiction - yes.

Yes they should be allowed to advertise on radio and tv.I also feel that regular tobacco products should be allowed to advertise on TV and radio. It should be up the stations if they want to accept tobacco and e-cig advertising dollars, not the government. Those are legal products and as such the government shouldn't be telling people that they can not advertise their legal products. But I think the anti-E-cig people need to shut the **** up so that regular cigarette smokers can be encouraged to transition to e-cigs.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

You do know you're smoking liquid nicotine, right?

Yes. I can choose anywhere between 0% and 2.2%. Nicotine is not necessarily good for you but real cigarettes contain hundreds of other chemicals, plus the tar, plus the smoke.

Without E-Cigs, I could not have quit and been the happy little cat-nut that I am. On the health aspect, I figure I'm 99% better off. I already went from 2.2% to 1.8% and soon I'll go to 1.2%. No more coughing.

Leave the e-cigs alone. This may be one of the few things that can help me finally quit.

I don't care if I quit. I'm happy with the much reduced coughing in the morning.

    Goshin...

As the old saying goes. It doesn't matter if you tie one leg behind your back while scratching your ass, winding your watch, and jump up and down singing Dixie...

...keepin on keepin on until you find whatever works for you.

I've been there. I quit after 25 years. It's tough, painful, emotionally kicks your ass...however...not for near as long as your body and mind wants you to believe. But when the smoke clears...you won't regret it.

I clean the glass on a place called Vapors that sells e-cigs. There is a large amount of particulate matter that sticks to the windows.
Apparently most people are not aware of this.

Hopefully you will quit completely before there are any bad side effects from this product.

    Good luck with your endeavour.

The side effects of this product cannot compare to morning hacking.
