First there is very little poverty in the US and second I didn't see anything on the list about creating jobs.
What kind of sheltered life do you live to think there is very little poverty in the United States? You ever been to the Delta? Ever been to rural Appalachia? How about many inner cities?
Also, good jobs require skilled workers. You can't just create jobs and mandate some wage for people to earn. They have to have the skills to compete for those jobs.
