If you look at the way I voted in this poll, you will see that is my point exactly.

Yessir. Whatever you pour funding into, grows. It's the same no matter what the endeavor. Resources and energy put into anything is likely to make it successful on the surface. The problem is the unintended consequences.

And it's sort of like raising children. If you want them to be successful, at some point you need to cut the apron strings, and push them out of the nest to take their fledgling flight. To hold onto them by making life passively comfortable, beyond a certain point of physical maturity, is to damage whatever sense of self they may have. It's not easy to do, but it works for most kids.

I believe many poor are misinformed and brainwashed by the media which pretends to care for the poor in order to fool them, like the Fox News pretends to be Christian and non main stream when it is in fact an international network itself. same with liberal networks such as MSNBC. same with so called public networks such as PBS - nothing public about it, so what if they get government funding and collect donations - it's management is never elected - they are all fraud. ANYWAY, try to think outside the TV box and ask YOURSELF from deep within - which is the best way to combat poverty, REALLY.... I will discuss my opinion later on.
Which poverty? What Bangladesh needs is for us to buy more cheap t-shirts and the Cubans need a democracy.

To combat poverty or anything else you have to look at the source. In this case, why is there so much poverty and some seem to have a ridiculous abundance of wealth? To me the answer is simple greed. Not just greed by those running the corporations, but greed by the consumer base making them rich as well. In order to close the wealth gap and ensure that money reaches more people that wealth needs to be spread around. Which 99% of the population lines up to give large chunks of their money to one person that person is going to then hold all the money. If that person who everyone is giving their money too is exploiting the poor for their profit, and yet the majority of people continue to give this person their money that person only grows more powerful and is able to exploit more of the public into poverty. The way to fix that is that the people need to stop supporting those business practices and instead support business that do spread money more equally and pay their employees competitively (including manufacturing) then that wealth would be spread around and fix a lot of those issues. When people, consumers, give their money to corporations that exploit and encourage poverty that process will only continue to grow.

people get paid according to what the market will allow, no one forces them to work there
